Wish I had been there to flash her a cue card that says, "I am great and mr3putt is not."

Congratulation to Ariya for a strong finish to win the CME tournament.
I wonder if every time Lexi has a short putt to win, if they will give her the In Kyung Kim treatment.
Thanks to Ariya, So Yeon tied for POY which I am sure brighten her day a little. Considering all the stuff she had to put up with, after the ANA win. She still had I believe had her best year, even thou she didn't finish strong.
Kudos for top tens to In Kyung, Eun-Hee Ji and Sung Hyun...even thou her finish was not what she expected.
Great to see Jessica contend for a win finally.

This season has been marked by inconsistencies emblematically shown by the winner Ariya Jutanugarn. She played well enough early on to climb to no. 1 in the Rolex Ranking only to go in a tail-spin midway.
Well-known is the journey Lydia Ko has travailed. When I look back at her season, it isn't that bad when compared to most players, just un-Ko-like. Through mid-June she capture a few top tens. But then for the next couple of months she didn't finish better than T20th, the worst being the Cut-59-Cut during the Scottish, British and Canadian triad. But after that she didn't finish worse than T22nd. Yet no wins.
Inky had a strange year led by the fact she didn't play all that often. When she did play, it was usually very good leading the tour with 3 wins. But the results are also marred by 4 missed cuts and a withdrawal at the HEB.
Shanshan didn't do that poorly early on (she won the Volvik in May) but mostly was never in contention. Late in the season, she poured it on as she has been in the habit of doing.
More consistent was So Yeon Ryu but she still had her ups and downs. She started with guns ablazing with 8 straight top tens including the victory at ANA. She stumbled the next two tournaments but won at Walmart. She contended at the US Open a couple of weeks later but didn't really contend after that. She was good enough to get co-POY.
Now on the other co-POY. What a fantastic rookie year the LPGA had! But there was the One Rookie Who Ruled Them All. Sung Hyun Park worst result was T43 at Kingsmill. She came close to getting several more top tens than the 11 she did earn.
In spite of SHP's two victories, the winners skewed older than last season. Cristie Kerr turned 40 over the season and got two wins as did Anna Nordqvist.
I have to mention those veterans who did surprisingly poorly. Karrie Webb manage a T2 at the Scottish but otherwise was horrible. She had ten missed cuts including three out of her last four tournaments. Suzann Pettersen admitted she had a "lousy" year by her standards.
Stacy didn't have a bad year. She won in Portland and didn't miss a cut. But I never got the "always a bridesmaid" feeling I had for her over the past couple of seasons.
Lastly, Lexi Thompson. Imagine her year if not for two infamous putts?

VG, that's a nice summary, the good and the bad, of some big names this season...please post more often...don't worry about anyone getting "butt hurt". I don't own a pink shirt.

Nice performance by the (temporarily?) returning Ha Na Jang at -9, T-16. She may have had the most bizarre season by a big-name player in women's golf history. I don't want to doubt anyone's word, but I'll bet The Hulk's homesickness excuse for returning to the KLPGA is starting to look ridiculous in her own eyes now. Slumming the KLPGA tour in her physical prime is preposterous. She needs to man-up and purge the Internet trolls and Flying Dumbos from her conscience once and for all.
*********
Speaking of Flying Dumbos, they are fair weather FRAUDS. Where were they in Bedminster? I didn't see one.

I thought Judy Rankin was going to cry, when she were talking about Lexi missed opportunity.

GAWWWWW-LEE! Gomer voice. Somehow I managed to not know what happened until now. Fox Asia has been showing each round since Monday and just now (Thursday) I watched the final round. They only showed the back nine and did it in an hour with pretty much everybody in contention getting some air time. And with only two commercial breaks! Oh Lexi, what a goof!

Ariya hit two huge putts at 17 and 18. I never thought Inky could bounce back from the abyss but she did. Now can NYC? Two putts won it Sunday and two putts ruined what could have been a fantastic year. Every LPGA player is a distant second to the fan frenzy that I've witnessed watching Lexi Thompson in person since 2014. It's not even close. I had to quit following Lexi on Instagram. All those weight lifting pics are nauseating. Her wrist is now hurting so what good does it do? Two putts won it on Sunday and two putts ruined what could have been.
