Great news.
(but the fact that it took until 2023 just shows that the USGA has been driving this event w/ a loose steering wheel)

I looked up the PBGL website and did not realize that it is only 6,826 yards from the back tees, although the USGA stretched it to 7,040 for 2010 USO. The PGA Tour will play it at 6,816 next year. If I were in charge, I'd have the women play from the gold tees (6,445), which should be sufficiently challenging...even from there, the par-4 9th would be a long 460 yards and #18 is 532 (only 11 yards shorter than the back tees).

The USGA has always paid 'lip service' to the women...they should have played Peeble decades ago. Diana "10 Martini" Murphy finally brow beat Mike "Egg Head" Davis to agree to hold a USWO at Peeble.
I suspect 50% of Peeble's green fees are expensed by all the corporate Gee Gee's down there on a company boondoogle.
It's too bad Bandon doesn't have the infrastructure to host large events....this is where REAL golfers play....golfing mecca of Merica....I gotta get my sorry a*s down there.
The 2006 Curtis Cup was played there and televised...many future LPGA players were at that event.
Supposedly the Sheep Ranch might be converted to the 5th course. It's crazy that 4 courses are fully booked year round in a place outside of civilization.

LMAO Another example of YANK RACISM....The Phony Pink One, Wie and Ms. Pouty Face are all washed up...level 6 TOAST. Happyface is gonna lose it when he watches the vid. Chambers Bay is a cow pasture...the greens are still a joke...why people play huge green fees to play is beyond me. Has Rymer stop eating donuts and KFC...has he lost weight. The Smiling Buddha will be applying to GC...they have a token black in Damon Hack (notice the rhyme)....now they need some yellow skin and black hair for some diversity.....just sayin.

Chambers Bay looks like it would be fun to play once but I don't know what the deal is w/ the greens. I think I heard they were fine until they tried a special treatment that went poorly. Hack is the best guy on that show sometimes. One time he and Paige got into it and I think he schooled her about about how the press works with regard to athletes in the public eye.

Chambers is quite scenic....but I've played so many picturesque courses out west so I take it for granted....the below is Northlands....only 8 km from me. The idiots at Chambers keep on trying to fight the poa anna rather than just let it take over the fescue greens. There are many poa anna greens out west...especially the old courses...poa anna is basically a weed. I was at Chambers on Tues at the 2015 USO...the arrogant USGA TOOLS had it so severely roped....it was the BIGGEST joke for any spectator. It was a heat wave in June 2015...the USGA baked the course at level 20 TOAST.

I like Paige...but she's not a natural in front of the camera. In Canada, I assume the US too....companies are obligated to offer employment to anyone returning from mat/pat leave. But Paige has lost some opportunities to the like of Chantal McCabe and others. GC even has no use for Nicole Castrale...who is slumming/shilling real estate in Palm Springs....Nicole got tired of caddyboy, Craig.

I should have played that course instead.

I last did the Grouse Grind back in 2003 with my wife....when I got to the top....I had a slice of pizza...so much for burning off all those calories.

You missed the point. His emphasis was iconic courses on which the women have played majors. The three that stand out are Oakmont, Pinehurst, and St. Andrews, and Paula, Michelle, and Stacy happened to win those. When Pebble joins that group whoever wins it will also have won on a memorable course.

LMAO Don got the point alright...he knows it's YANK RACISM.....Don is a GENIUS on this forum now that PINK SHIRT fanofseri quit. I'm surprised Ginella didn't talk about finding USWO venues/courses that would prevent the Korean USWO domination. So why didn't Ginella mention HOF Lorena....God forbid a Yank should mention a MEXICAN...who won the WBO in 2007 when it was first hosted at St. Andrews.....St. Andrews is really a goat track...the only memorable hole is the Road Hole....the 18th is basically a long par 3 for the guys. And Ginella didn't mention yellow skin black hair Yani's win in 2011 at Carnousite....likely the best course on the rota. I don't get the fanfare about Pinehurst.....the only REAL golf mecca in Merica is Bandon.....just read all the threads created about Bandon on WRX....nuff said. Bandon doesn't have the infrastructure to host a large event...likely never will.....that's the way Keiser would want it. Myrtle Beach is fun...but it's all about overweight Yanks riding around in carts playing whack f***.
