A field of 192 (or less) goes into action next Thursday in Venice, FL.
A Japanese article has comments from Ayaka Matsumori and Ayaka Watanabe on why they dropped out. Matsumori is 62nd on the JLPGA money list and didn't want to risk not finishing in the top-50 by year-end. Watanabe is 31st on the list, but hasn't had a top-10 since May...per Google mush: "Everything including the driver was bad, I did not feel like stacking up from 0 in the other side (USA), I thought that I wanted to go in a state where I could compete."
The LPGA posted a list of 18 entrants for Stage 3 (deadline is Nov. 13). Most of them are the 11th thru 25th ranked players on the 2017 Symetra money list.

Plantation Golf & CC had a couple of interesting recent pix on its FB account. I don't know what pros were in this. At first glance, it looks a grounds pass you'd wear at a golf tournament. Good way for the club to advertising membership opportunities.

They start tomorrow and the field is down to 190...if you withdraw after the entry deadline, you only get half your money back. UPDATE: I just noticed Ah Reum Hwang in the JLPGA Nobuta field, so she is one of the two that bailed out recently. Since Trojans Muni He and Robynn Ree are in the field, I looked up USC's golf team. They have only five players and no seniors. I assume USC is recruiting like crazy in case He and Ree turn pro in December. Stop snickering about Muni. At the September opener in Minnesota, she was tied for low medalist (206, -10). However, Roynn Ree is probably the best player on the team...has 70.33 scoring average in two starts this season.

Muni makes this event a "must watch" event.

But I respect JUNIOR more...she's sticking her neck out to go to LPGA Q-school....while CYBORG's hiding on the KLPGA.

Shin Ae was a pretty good golfer, until she decided on a different career. However it was the path that she chose, so good luck to her moving forward.

Didn't Shin Ae win 2009 KLPGA rookie of the year? Sorry, but Shin Ae Ahn smokes Muni He in terms of her career. Not even close. Not only did Ahn beat Soo Jin Yang for Rookie of the Year back in 2009, but she has a top ten at the Evian to her credit and won a KLPGA Major as recently as last year.

Too bad, it looks like Shin Ae should've been In Gee Chun but clearly she's underachieved thus far.

Muni is not even a pro yet! (even if she travels the world like she is one) Barring a disaster, it looks like Muni will make it to Stage 3...holy moly, the 2018 Shop-Rite/Acer is looking better and better.
