It's amazing how friendly In Gee is out on the course. Most players will acknowledge applause, but In Gee really interacts with her fans. It's genuine fun out there. High 5's, fist bumps. She seems to get pumped up by the attention. The Flying Dumbos are a vocal bunch, and really eating it up.

Gonna change it up a little this weekend and say something I've never said before. Go Mi Hyang Lee! Anyone who's an enemy of Stacy is alright with me.

Jiyai is still decent; but no longer the dominant self years ago. Great reverse karma!

Hehe, a bit of snark just now from Dan Hicks and co. regarding the Wies and their helicopter parenting of 27-year-old Michelle.

Gernia doesn't even need to get that first win. Everyone is already utterly convinced that 1) it should've happened by now B) it will certainly happen in the future and 3) Gernia is a champion golfer regardless.

Round 3 A mixture of good and bad today. On the plus side, there are a lot of Koreans on this leaderboard who still have a chance to win. On the minus side, the ones I most wanted to see put themselves in position all were meh today. Chella Choi, Danielle, Amy and Sei Young are all Sisters who have the talent to win Majors but haven't done it yet. Amy in particular is very overdue, but she is four back and faces a tall order to pull it off tomorrow. Chella and Danielle are tied for the lead, but neither has really been that convincing in a Major before. It would feel weird to see one of them get the Major victory before Yang, but is certainly possible. Then there's Jiyai, who was incredible today. Did she leave it all out on the course today? How amazing would it be to see her get a win like this? In Gee really blew up today, alas, but So Yeon at five back and Inbee at 6 back still have an outside chance. Both are capable of amazing things if the stars align, and we have seen some low scores from Shon and Shin. Go Sisters. Hwaiting! Jiyai Shin Mi Hyang Lee Sung Hyun Park In Gee Chun

Was hoping So Yeon would move a little closer to the lead today. Not too much happened for her today. Hopefully she will finish strong, at least a top five. A win appears to be too far away.
It's great that In Gee is one of the nicest golfers on tour. However when she steps on that first tee, it should be all business. Her fans should just enjoy her golf, until after the round is over.
On another note. I don't believe Lydia has ever had a nine bogey round. They had her distance off the tee as 213 yards, even thou it's probably not her over all distance. She also hit only seven greens.

Keeps it mind that driving distance is measured only only two holes. If all player mishits a drive, their numbers can look pretty bad.

Will anyone be there? I have two tickets to give away. I'll be staying in Cedar Lake, Indiana, and will be at the tournament early every day. This tournament has been a great boost to the LPGA. I should be in Chicago, Chicago my kind of town.

Sister Chella Choi, glory be. Last group... Chella Choi is a Seoul Sister. No fake here. Whaiting. The golf gods have an old score to settle with her. She doubles the last hole to lose by one.

As a veteran observer of Dani at the Shop-Rite/Acer (and inside Shop-Rite), I would love to see her win. I was not aware until this week that her coach is David Leadbetter. However, I was delighted to hear on the broadcast that she was giving his instruction a lot of push-back this week. It's also good that her golf pro brother Alex is in the mix...I looked him up, he is 54th on the web.com money list this year...he is not playing this week. Mell article on Kang: www.golfchannel.com/news/randall-mell/kang-trying-turn-valuable-advice-major-winIt includes this wonderful quote: “She probably argues with me more than any student I have,” Leadbetter said. “She questions me more than anyone.”

Gonna change it up a little this weekend and say something I've never said before. Go Mi Hyang Lee! Anyone who's an enemy of Stacy is alright with me. It completely slipped my mind to ask MHL about Lewis when I saw her at the Seaview this year. I hope they're grouped together at the USWO this year, which would give me an excuse to bring up the 2016 CME...I don't know if it's a sensitive subject. I saw them in the same group at Westchester in 2015...nothing happened. I watched most of the Round 3 replay last night on GC...unless Mi Hyang is racking up birdie after birdie, they won't follow her, and they didn't. However, they showed her fouling up the 14th hole. I think it was Gary Koch who introduced her at #14 by saying that she had "worked her way up to a tie for 3rd place." Uh, no dude, she STARTED the day T-3. MHL and Cheeseburger Chad Payne
