Bummer about So Yeon. I'm guessing she's going to fly down to Oz and work with her coach Ian Triggs (an Aussie) in prep for the Australian Open. Hopefully she isn't actually injured or anything.
The Korean press have had a lot of articles about Ko becoming #1 from Inbee's point of view as the player who lost the top spot. I'm guessing there will be a lot of interest in Korea to see if she can reclaim her crown back this week. Should be fun!

There is a possibility that Lydia divisor will stay the same as this weeks tournament will replace her 2013 NZ Women's Open. Inbee Park & Stacy Lewis divisor will increase by 1 after this week. If this is the case, Lydia will have a better chance to keep her #1 Rolex Ranking.

I'm assuming the gals are comp'd on hotel rooms and food during the day. I read on the internet the Atlantis Resort is suppose to be stupid expensive. It previously was a host venue for an all female Big Break series.

Since Lydia turned pro she has four victories, fifteen top tens and no Majors.
Over the last two years Inbee has nine victories, four Majors and seventeen top tens last year. I believe Stacy Lewis performance, over the last to years is also better than Lydia.
Yet they are both behind her in the ranking. The only thing that I can see is that they are penalized for playing more tournaments.

Not surprised that So Yeon skipped this tournament. Her high ball flight is not a good fit. She does not try to flight it low, in the wind. I guess she thinks, why change a great swing, for two or three high wind tournaments a year. I wasn't too surprised that Q Baek may be a little nervous her first tournament. Seeing her play the final round at the Hana Bank, I wasn't too worried. Good first round for the "Sisters.

Tough second day in the Bahamas! Nice to see so many Sisters meeting the challenge. Inbee will have to finish most of her round tomorrow, but she managed to move to within a shot of the lead. Meanwhile, that lead is co-held by Sun Young Yoo, who is looking to return to the winner's circle after a long absence. Perhaps the biggest surprise is Ivy Leaguer Kelly Shon, who is also at 6 under, a shot back. I honestly was not expecting much out of her this season, and who knows, she might collapse tomorrow, but she certainly is bringing it so far! Here's an article on Golf Channel's website: Kelly Shon Does Princeton ProudMirim struggled a tad but is still just three back, and HYP, with a lot of holes to play, 2 back. Among the Korean rookies, Sei Young at 4 under, Baek at 3 under and Ha Na at 2 under. Kim and Baek still have a lot of golf to play, though. Is there a cut this week? For the sake of finishing, I kind of hope so. But if so, NYC will probably miss it. Ah well, better luck next time. Go Sisters!! Second round is done. Inbee had it to 9 under but bogied the final hole to fall into a tie for the lead with Pancake and Sei Young Kim, who shot a 5 under 68 (great round for her!). Some other names to watch include Sun Young Yoo at -7, Jenny Shin and Kelly Shon at 6 under, Rocket and Amy Yang at 5 under and Q Baek and Mirim Lee at 4 under. Take a nice break before the action starts again, ladies! Go Sisters!!!

Golfchannel.com's leaderboard has Kelly Shon listed as Korean. They've done that with Kevin Na in the past, as well. Apparently you just have to be kind of Korean in order to be from South Korea, according to the Golf Channel.
Also, is there a cut? Neither site is reporting a cut line.

Never mind. Golf Channel just chopped off half of its leaderboard. So the cut has been made.
