Shanshan is very consistent; every year she starts slowly but she always finish the year ferociously. She manages to have good years usually; but in the process she misses many opportunities to be on the highlight reels and get more shares of mind. I'm a pseudo Jenny Money fanboy...some one has to root for my fellow countrywomen........she isn't as cheery in real life vs. what you see on TV & interviews.

I thought Feng retired. She just focuses on gobbling up all the money at the end of the year. I hope she wins a major this year. She has an advanced sense of humor.

Ah, yes. Who could forget Jenny from the ROK conducting her winner's press conference with a fake British accent last year? I got a preview of it at the 2016 ANA Inspiration when I heard her discussing club selection with her caddie on the first hole.. At the time it was a major WTF moment. Girl, you went to Torrance High! Wasn't it an Aussie accent? I think she was imitating a coach of hers for kicks, and just started doing it unconsciously after a while...

It was sort of a British/Aussie hybrid and I think it was her caddie she was imitating. Yeah, it became a habit and she started using it subconsciously... which is a totally stupid excuse. At this this year's KIA she was paired by Sarah Jane Smith and they were talking on the 16th tee box while waiting for the green to clear. Sarah was speaking in her native Australian accent and Jenny was back to talking like a SoCal girl. EDIT: found some video

The American player to watch is Cristie Kerr; can she contend for the fourth tournament in a row? Watch Christie? I'd rather eat lint.

Mannika' pre-nup must have been really strong...ex-hubby David Esch is looping for Julie Yang....I guess he's looking for another LPGA wife. Esch met Mannika on the range at U of A....I don't know if he was on the men's team or a Ping rep at the time.....I think he's in his mid to late 40's. I'm pretty sure David Esch was a Ping rep when they met and he didn't go to U of A. I seem to remember he went to Nebraska (!) and played a short time on their team. ( I was a BIG Annika fan. Her win in the '95 USOpen is what got me back into golf and following the LPGA.). Surprising that he's caddying. I think maybe he was doing real estate when they divorced.

Yup...I was a Mannika fanboy...but I can't tolerate her in retirement.....yup I have the 1995 & 1996 USWO taped somewhere. I'm in my man cave and I have a Cally Mannika poster hiding behind a TV wall mount....the poster also hides a electrical control panel. I saw the framed poster in a golf store...in a back room...and asked if I could have it. Hmmmm....maybe I should get a nice pic of the LOVELY HYP in knee highs in a nice poster....lol. I have quite a bit of LPGA stuff...but it's all sitting in a box somewhere collecting dust...I don't event know why I collect the crap at events. I think those boxes also have dozens on new older model golf balls collected through many years of corporate swag....all logo balls.

Short hitters better spend a lot of time on their short game. Because it is hard to acquire more distance, and accuracy. Tru dat...short banger's don't have much LPGA longevity. Some exceptions are Rosie & Leta. You actually remember little Leta Lindley. I watched her play a little, a lot of heart.
