Great news for Beth Allen; she'll play Australia. I guess it's been hard for Beth to obtain endorsements in Mercia since Jan 20, 2017.....just sayin.

The schedule doesn't appear as bad as it seems. There's 3 weeks between Pure Silk and Australia. Then 3 in a row with a fairly long flight from Adelaide to Thailand. Then there's a 2 week layoff before 3 weeks in a row in Arizona and California.

There must be reasons Jack Nicklaus used to play less than 15 PGA tournaments a year; Tiger and Rory normally play no more than 23 worldwide tournaments a year.

The PGA tour players can make a million plus winning one tournament. Plus millions in endorsements.
A LPGA player wins one million total in a season is considered a good season. Do the math.

The money is true for Tiger and Rory; but Jack played for very little money in his days. We aren't tour players and we don't know what's the mental toll each tournament takes out from each player. In golf, both money and ranking points favor top 3 finishers; it isn't a question of how many tournaments played, it's a questions of how many top 3 earned. My bet is Brooke earns less money this year than last if she continues to fill up her schedule.

An Asian woman who is considered a 6 or 7 by Asian standards typically will be considered an 8 or 9 by Westerners and vice versa. This also explains why BraveDave was surprised when he learned that I was a Kim Kaufman fan.

My bet is Brooke earns less money this year than last if she continues to fill up her schedule. Jack turned pro in 1962, and played in 26 tournaments that year. He had 25, 26, 24, 19, 23, and 22 starts in the following years before 1970. In 1970 he started dialing it back, averaging 17 starts a year through the 70's, and 15 starts through the 80's. To say that Jack didn't play a lot is a bit of a misnomer. He teed it up quite often during his first decade of play while in his 20's, even though he was married and had a few kids. I do agree that Brooke needs to dial it back this year. I think 27 to 30 tournaments would be plenty.

Ya...I was wondering where he got the 15 events per year figure too.

I don't know about your numbers, Jack never qualified to win the Vardon Trophy (minimum of 60 rounds) because he didn't play enough PGA tournaments.

The minimum of 60 rounds wasn't put in place until 1988. At that point Jack had dialed back his schedule. From 1980 to 1987 the minimum was 80 rounds, and again, with a reduced schedule, he wouldn't have qualified. Jack didn't win it in the 60's because Arnold and Billy Casper were hogging it, and in the 70's it was Lee and Tom.
