What an awesome finish by Ha Na Jang! I'd say she had a lot of breaks go her way, but she also really took charge when she needed to, which is what champions do. I have to admit that I was not expecting a happy ending for the Sisters. Su Oh just seemed shaky all day, Ha Na and Hye Jin were not far back but doing nothing. Looked like a decent but not spectacular result coming. Then WHAM! Ha Na went into warp drive and started draining everything. I think she went from one back to three ahead in the space of about ten minutes. The capper of course was that 50 foot eagle putt on 17. For some reason I just felt like that one was going in the whole way. Hey, when it's your day, it's your day. Great week for Hye Jin Choi. I'm not really feeling Cyborg as a nickname. I haven't seen enough of her yet to know what a good nickname would be for her, though. Too bad she missed that par save on the last, or it would have been a top five! Awesome job by Ha Na and the Jang Gang! Hwaiting!!!!!

Too bad she missed that par save on the last, or it would have been a top five! I'm not feeling the CYBORG nickname neither....Phil said I created it but I can't remember....I just can't think of a good one now. I asked members to contribute ideas for a nickname..... but no one has offered. Many members here are too passive....I think all Mericans need to follow in their GREAT LEADER's footsteps...the MAN has FANTASTIC ideas and is action oriented. I wish he was our leader. Don Jr & Eric are expected to arrive in Van City at the end of the month for the official opening of the GREAT MAN's hotel here...my friend and I discussed whether we should attend with our "Make America Great Again" hats...but we'll get swarmed by the 1000+ tree huggers. I attended our golf show today..not one person commented about my LOVELY hat....I think I unfortunately might have to retire it soon. But it's a lucky hat...I won 29 skins in a putting contest today.

Ha Na's win to me seemed like a big step towards the normalization of Korean golfers. The Aussie announcer was going bonkers over both Ha Na's inspired play and the excitement generated in the gallery. It sounded like he was jumping up and down inside the booth. Aussies have a lot more national and sporting pride than most people, but I got the impression that they were very glad to see this particular foreigner win their national championship and do it in such a swashbuckling fashion. Su Oh seems like a nice Australian golfer and everything but come on, so boring, she makes even Minjee seem like the life of the party by contrast.

Sorry...and others on this site will agree....Su is more animated than Minjee. Minjee is just about as vanilla/boring as NYC. OK.... I'll put my flame suit on...cause I know you're a NYC fanboy.

Sounds like a good trip. It is great to have Min Sun Kim & HYP in Southern California, but I wonder why they train here and not Florida, Vietnam or some other warm weather area? The weather isn't very good here in January and February. Sorry you found out the hard way that Oak Creek isn't the greatest. The Marine Memorial course in Oceanside is pretty good and is open to civilians. It is about $30 during the week.

I traveled to San Francisco over the weekend to visit a friend. I turned on The Golf Channel to catch the last of the rounds when I returned to my hotel room at night.
Some Profiles in Cowardice were exhibited during that final round. All of the players in the final groups played poorly. I thought Lizette Salas might have righted her ship with the two birdies in a row but that didn't last long.
Then comes Ariya to tie for the lead but she had troubles off the tee on 17 and 18 (apparently since I didn't see it televised) and couldn't get lower than -6.
From way back in the pack, zooming down the stretch comes HA NA JANG! She made the night worth watching.
Was the caddie of Maude-Aimee LeBlanc really only 12? He definitely was a kid. Way awkward.

OK folks...the REAL story behind this pic. Argonne: "Excuse me Hee Young, before I let you go...can I go get my clubs and take a picture with your clubs too....I want to show all my pals on WRX and ss.com that I'm a PLAYA and have the same clubs as you" HYP: "OK...but make it quick....I've got to get going we are headed out for a Korean BBQ dinner" After the picture is taken. Arg: "Hey Rocket....I heard you're going for dinner...I LOVE Korean BBQ.....can I come too"? HYP: "Sorry, the reservation is for 4 and the restaurant is really busy and I don't think they can make a 4 top into a 5 top" Arg: "OK....have a great flight to Bangkok and I know you'll win the Honda...FIGHTING!!!" HYP: "Gamsam Hamneedai" Once Arg leaves....HYP's convo with Song Yi Ahn & Min Sun Kim who are also there practicing HYP: "Now do you understand what I have to put up with on the LPGA...rumors is the guy also fanboy'd Dumbo last year at the Int'l Crown and made her a Dumbo headcover which she threw away at O'Hare...the sad thing is that Chicago is his hometown and I'll have to repeat all this again with him in June at the KPMG...maybe if I give him a signed glove on Thursday he'll leave me alone and fanboy the Terminator. Oh ya and it doesn't stop there....there's an idiot Chinese guy, who calls himself the Smiling Buddha, who was fanboying me at the CWO and KMPG....it's all very tiring. I think Ji Ya got it right and left the LPGA for the JLPGA where she doesn't have to deal with these fanboys and the Flying Dumbo's only go to Japan if In Gee plays"

argonne69Nice sticks. I assume you have read Montreal Jeff's WRX thread: "Judging a player by their bag" You are a 1st...you are both a PLAYA and a POSER. Playa1) Mizuno clubs Poser1) Staff bag 2) Basically only one brand..all Miz except for Cleveland & Odyssey....even a matching Miz bag and umbrella...huge POSER giveaway 3) Not only one matching color towel that matches the bag.....but two .......and both have no dirt...therefore they are only for show....another huge POSER giveaway. As a poser...I'm surprised you're not head to tow in Rickie Fowler orange...lol What your bag says at the bag drop....$20 minimum tip....lol. You're a good guy...we'd have a huge BLAST hitting the links and you laughing at my POSER bag.....a mixed bag of Craigslist, eBay, and on-line specials...I'm BIG STU's hero at WRX.

That bag has as many headcovers as I have clubs! LMAO...ya ......you only game 7 clubs including your putter....I'd love to play a 4 club (including putter) challenge with you. Do you use a Jones bag? On another note....my friend and I discussed yesterday....getting the boys together for a match. I said I would love to play alternate shot/foursomes ......which I have never done before. He suggested....the catch is...the alternate shot format would be worst ball alternate shot...it could get really scary and a gong show. I don't know if you have every played worst shot with 2 balls....my friend and I played it over 5 holes late one night...what a freak show...you should try it....and it includes putts too.

I've been there, and I've experienced similar weather. I imagine the extra 5 hours of flight each way may have a little something to do with it.

For starters, it's not a staff bag. 'Just a big 'ol cart bag stuffed with rain gear for the "sunny" California weather. The driver, FW, and hybrids are Pings. My 3 wood is a TaylorMade. 'Hate the look of a mismatched set of headcovers. Even when you're playing like sh*t, it doesn't mean you can look good doing it. Besides, I think I have enough game to safely qualify for the non-poser category. The 2nd towel has plenty of dirt...on the inside. What do you do, dig trenches with your clubs?
