None of these mouth pieces have any ideas the competition Lydia will face in 2017 and beyond. In the past after Stacy Lewis faded, Inbee was practically the only competitor. Now the competitor list are ten deep; Ariya, In Gee, Shanshan, Brooke, Ha Na, Sung Hyun, Inbee, So Yeon, Minjee and Charley. Lydia will be just one of the girls. Let's also not forget that Lydia's disadvantage is her lack of length vs. many of her opponents in the top 20 RR's. Additionally her conservative play...especially Thurs and Fri puts her behind the 8 ball too. I saw it at Sahalee....Ko would hit 3W off the tee often on a long uphill par 4 (many of the par 4's weren't that troublesome to hit driver off the tee...more of a visual intimidation)....leaving a hybrid approach......leaving her over the long run .....further away from the hole to convert birdies. And when her longer hitting top tier opponents are hitting shorter clubs into greens...combined with a hot putter that week....it's tough to beat them for the win. All I know is that I think Lexi will be the only Yank to stay in the top 10 RR at the end of 2017.....The Asian Reign of Terror isn't gonna end anytime soon. Oh ya....when in January do you think it will be official on PXG and Gilchrist?

mr3puttLexi is already the only Yank in Rolex Top 10; the question is whether she'll stay there at the end of 2017.

mr3putt Lexi is already the only Yank in Rolex Top 10; the question is whether she'll stay there at the end of 2017. Lexi is a hard one to figure out. She only played 19 times this year...which is kinda good that there's no burn out as she's still really young. Maybe Lexi has come to realize she'll never be a good/great chipper and putter...therefore no realistic chance to be #1....therefore concentrates on buttering her bread outside the ropes. I've always like Lexi....super sincere and total focus inside the ropes. She's always willing to do anything for her fans....like Gulbis. She took her time signing auto's and pics between the 8th green to 9th tee at Sahalee on Wed......never forcing herself to rush off.....I've seen this many times prior too....a very humble and likable young lady. I do see Lexi staying in the top 10 by the end of 2017...but I can see either Badass or Hulk (maybe even both), Terminator and a healthy Winbee moving ahead of Lexi in RR. I'm not fully 100% committed on the Entitled Canadian Princess and I still see others closing out SYR on a win when SYR is really contending on Sunday's.

Did everyone forget that Lydia won four times, this year including a Major, With all that young talent out there. Until the other golfers can win year in and year out. Then and only then will they catch her. Lydia did not win those tournaments by accident, she won with talent. Give the young lady a break.

Ya can't change history...but ya gotta wonder how Ko's year could have turned out if she made a 4 ft putt on the 71st hole at the KPMG. The key in 2017 is how Ko putts.....I wonder if she changes the 2 ball putter. I really wonder what happened to Rosemark grips....did they go broke?....have yet to see one up here. I'm sad Tiger Shark flopped....I use their jumbo grip on my Anser....discontinued so I bought a spare for $8 at Golftown....maybe I should get another. Had a jumbo Winn on for a few months but found it too big. It's stupid that some Superstrokes are $40+. All grips are getting so expensive and with Golfsmith folding....I can't buy Snake Eye or GolfSmith grips on the cheap anymore.

How many tournaments has Lydia won since she won the Marathon Classic in July; yes, 0. It may look like the same young competition; but it isn't. Ariya may have joined LPGA in 2013 but she is new and improved; In Gee will no longer be a rookie; Brooke is more seasoned and Sung Hyun will be full time LPGA. Ha Na, Minjee and Charley are warming up and get better and better. The names may seem the same; but the substance isn't.

Strange that people made the excuse that Brooke Henderson, was getting tired. When she was not playing well later in the year. Yet Lydia was thought of as losing her game. Next to So Yeon Ryu,In Gee is my favorite player on the LPGA tour. I expect her to contend for the top spot in the future. That doesn't mean that I should overlook how talented Lydia Ko is.
Except for Sung Hyun I don't expect those others to reach number one in the near future. So I guess we will have to wait and see.
