More American loser talk. They're only good because they are robotic, obsessed and have no lives outside of golf right?
Dedication is how anyone gets good at sports. Koreans didn't invent practice. Maybe I tend to read too deeply into things but every one of these such articles seems to carry the subtext of 'and this explains why American women golfers aren't winning their proportionate share.'
Golf is a comparatively new fascination in Korea (and in Korean-America as I can attest). They love it. The cultural perception of golf is way different from ours. That has way more to do with their success than these weird theories that Koreans somehow have a greater capacity for dedication and tasks than other nationalities.
Golf swing instruction is also a tricky business and for whatever reasons, Korea seems to be succeeding in this market as well. Maybe we in the west ought to take a closer more inquisitive look at what they are doing in the "far east" rather than continuing to try and downplay the success of others, i.e. loser talk.

A great read.
In the video; it's Se Ri, Inbee and then In Gee. In Gee has a long way to get there; hope her health won't stop her.

That's why Evian was such an epic win for In Gee; otherwise, it'd be a very long winter.
Another fact; In Gee came to the rescue by winning Evian and kept Korea's major winning streak intact.

Koreans merely adopted the motto from us.

fourwaymissTom, you're one of the smartest guys I know. We, Americans, talk a good talk and walk a walk on Nascar and Olympic Swimming Pools; not so much on women's professional golf. Nelly Korda, she will change all of that.

The Smiling Buddha is widely revered for his fair and balanced analysis of the women's game.

I'm always of two minds about these kinds of articles as well.
Basically, they are saying that dedicating yourself to the sport and working hard yields results. The Americans know this: just ask the parents of an Olympic gymnast about hard work. For whatever reason, golfers have not widely adopted this attitude. But it's exactly the same principle.
I know Koreans work hard, I'm married to one. But they aren't robots, and I resent the subtext in some of these things that implies that they are.

Ya...but aren't all Korean Americans FAKE and emulate their Merican friend's drama queen personas....let's face it....The Smiling Buddha is a FAKE too....all his friends think he's a white guy.

Ya gotta appreciate the Koreans....WIN or you're a LOSER attitude....the western world's....everyone gets a trophy who shows up and put on your pink shirt with don't bully me stuff is a bit much. I'm glad Se Ri is establishing her own academy.....the cemetery training alone will make WINNERS. If those kids in the video are really 8-12 years old...then it seems Mannika set up a JUICE store right next to Se Ri's academy. Let the Korean LPGA Reign of Terror continue through the GREAT Se Ri. #RESPECT Korean Winners Matter!
