Japan's second "major" starts on Thursday. Japan TV coverage:

CS sky A: 9/8 (Thursday) 8:00 ~ 11:00 15:00 ~ 17:00 9/9 (Friday) 8:00 ~ 11:00 15:00 ~ 17:00 9/10 (Saturday) 8:00-13:00 9 / 11 (Sunday) 8:00-13:00
I have a link for TV Asahi that will probably work...not sure about the other channel. SBS Golf is not covering it.

There are currently 110 players in the field...I assume they'll add more as last year's field had 120. Dumbo will defend her title (how do you like them apples, Korea?! ) and Mi Hyang will be there, too. I assume they'll get the extra ten players after the LPGA officially sticks a fork in the LPGA Reignwood again.

I wonder how many of the LPGA's Asian swing events Dumbo will play. Interesting she's defending at the Japan Women's Open. Presumably she'll also defend at the Hite Cup, given it's her sponsor. (That's October 6 - 9th). Will she defend at the KLPGA's fourth Major, too? That's right after the Hana Bank.
I'd love her to have more chances to get a win or two on the LPGA before the season is out, so I'm a little disappointed she's going to be at the Japan Open to be honest.
(if she defends all her titles, her tournament schedule presumably will be Japan Women's Open, then Hite, then Hana Bank, then KB Star).

There's no "mandatory" reason for Dumbo to play the KB Star (Oct. 20-23), as she has no sponsor relationship there...she should play the LPGA Blue Bay that week (more money and she IS an LPGA regular now). As for the Japan Women's Open, it's either play there or take the week off (or go for chump change at the OK/SR Pak in Korea), because the LPGA Reignwood is "Dead Woman Walking".
Speaking of sponsorships, I assume Mi Hyang will play the KB Star this year for the first time and skip the LPGA Blue Bay. I predict she'll do an Asian marathon again this year: JWO, Fubon/Taiwan, Hana Bank, KB Star, Malaysia, and Toto/Japan...and will skip The Lorena to recover.

Maybe Dumbo will follow SYR's lead and we'll see some In Gee Instagram bikini shots at the Blue Bay. Hopefully Belen gets an invite for this exact reason.

I wonder if Muni He will get another invite to Blue Bay? ********* The JLPGA broadcast stream is working...it will conclude at 10 PM EST and restart at 2 AM EST on Friday. The umbrellas are out and you can hear the sloshing steps of the players...the course was already long to begin with. There is a lot of thick cabbage off the fairways. The morning wave is out there and only six players are under par. Bo Mee Lee just chipped in from the salad for a birdie at the par-5 9th...now +2. Shiho Oyama and Ritsuko Ryu Hikari Fujita and Ayaka Watanabe

Reasons In Gee might play the KB Star instead of Blue Bay:
- She can avoid a large fine from the KLPGA, and if you add the penalty to what she might make in China, it might make more financial sense to go to KB - It's just a hop, skip and jump away from where she will play her two previous events, giving her a nice three week stretch in Korea. - It gives her an easy way to support the KLPGA without having to make a separate trip. - She may just enjoy defending her titles when she can.
Reasons she might play Blue Bay instead of KB Star:
- She doubtless wants to get wins on the LPGA tour, and given Blue Bay will be limited field, she will have a good chance of winning there - She might not actually be penalized for skipping KB despite what the KLPGA says. - It helps her world ranking more.

If these penalties from the KLPGA are true...it's very lame. As another has said....the KLPGA would have to go to court to try to collect the fine....assuming the pro was not willing to comply to the fine.
If In Gee wins again....she's in the same predicament....having to return to defend again....never really being able to escape from the KLPGA....it's a vicious circle.

I wonder if Muni He will get another invite to Blue Bay? To all: I would appreciate honest answers. How many remember that Muni was an invite and played the 2015 Blue Bay. Is the majority like I?......and have completely forgotten this fact that Muni played. I will admit I don't have a great memory when it comes to certain things. Or is it....and based on all his prior posts...and what a suspect....does Phil have an uncanny photographic memory and can remember some things that many others or maybe most would forget? I think HappyFan and maybe fanofseri also remember many things from the past too.....maybe even include SoYeonfan too. I don't remember much about the 2015 Blue Bay....I had to look it up to find out that SYK won....very few broke par. Was it miserable and rainy all week? Muni shot 79 each day and Lydia shot +4 for the event. The only things I really remember much about Blue Bay is that...I believe Lee Anne Pace won in 2014 as it was her 1st LPGA win...they stay at an adjacent Westin Hotel...there's nearby beach and the location is considered the Hawaii of China.
