I'm surprised SHP isn't the 3rd betting favorite behind, Ko and AJ. She could have won last year, but once again she had a poor final round. She is under a lot more pressure than the other players. This is her ticket to get out of Korea once and for all. Sung Hyun needs a top 10 here; she will get the LPGA membership via the "non-member top 40" rule.

I say Dumbo is head cover absent this week. Argonne....email Kylie and ask why In Gee isn't using your head cover that you spend 5 hrs sourcing and creating. I have to imagine it's a combination of a contractual agreement with Ping, and the fear of getting sued by Disney, even though the headcover started as an officially licensed piece of Disney merchandise. Is there another Ping player that doesn't use a Ping driver headcover? I haven't seen one. Even Brooke used a stock Ping headcover on her driver, even though she has a custom 3 wood headcover. She was carrying it around a little after she got it! https://www.instagram.com/p/BINZpn-BaxN

Some random thoughts...
I feel like the bloom is off a little because the gold medalist is not in the field. Inbee would have been highly motivated to take this one home and end the 'career grand slam' questions once and for all. Whoever wins is going to have to know they didn't face at least one superstar who could have defeated her (and even injured, as we saw when she lapped the field in Rio).
I notice Eun Jeong Seong (Us Women's Am + US Girls champ) is paired with Brooke Henderson and US Women's Open champ Brittany Lang. Verrrry interesting. Hyo Joo Kim was 16 when she tied for 4th at this event.... Seong is the same age and is having a comparably amazing run as an amateur. Could she be a factor this week? How she performs in her pairing will be a good early test.
I'm also interested in seeing how Jin Young Ko does. This seems like the kind of course she could excel at. And I think a place where having Dean Herden on her bag could be a big bonus. She's playing very early on Thursday with Moriya Jutanugarn.
I don't get the feeling this is a big bomber's course, but Sung Hyun Park has been so uniformly excellent this season that you have to keep an eye on her. She has won three times in her past five starts. I do wonder if she and Jin Young will get off to a slow start owing to the fact they played in Korea last week.
This is also an ideal course for In Gee I think. And she's had time to rest and prepare. But last year, she was in the same boat and missed the cut. I have to think that having the pressure of the Olympics off her as really improved her situation. She'll be playing with Ariya in the first two rounds, so she has a chance to make a statement.
Don't forget that So Yeon also contended here the year Pettersen won. Like pretty much every week, she could be in contention, but can she close? Sooner or later she will; hopefully this week.
Ha Na Jang, Hyo Joo Kim and Mirim Lee are dark horses to watch. Mirim has been a major factor in the last three Majors, and it wouldn't surprise me a bit to see her in the mix again.
If I'm correct, the Sisters have not been blanked in the Majors since 2010. This is their last chance to get one in 2016. I'm hopeful someone will step up and get the job done. Go Sisters!!!!!

Or wait until the 2017 KPMG and ask Dumbo face to face and see how she starts to squirm....lol. Off the top of my head....Aza use to have a ASU Sun Devil head head cover....she nicknames it Sparky. Aza is so freakin cute.

Watch out for Ha Na this week; she is having fun again. The Hulk is faking it. The Koreans have PERMANENTLY scarred Ha Na....I also think Dumbo has also been negatively tainted from LUGGAGEGATE too.

Happy Did you use to work for Homeland Security? How the heck did you find this pic in cyberspace. Likely had it in her hand walking back to the locker room to stuff the head cover into a plastic bag...then the evidence was disposed of at O'Hare via CCTV cameras.

Evian is truly a putting contest and that is about it. That's why the usual suspects are the favorites. Most of the best ball strikers like Nordqvist, SYR, Korda, Thompson, Jang, Lewis and Piller don't have a chance unless they can putt like Mi-Hyun Kim for four days.

In Gee struggled big time here; her 6 rounds going backward 70-79-78-70-78-69. Her goal this week is probably to make the cut first, and to stay under par second.

Mozo showed up...she has moved up to #2 on the alternate list, behind Wei-Ling Hsu. Snickering about the 'A' Swing I think that's D. Kang with C. Kerr Sun Young Yoo Back to basics for Jung Min Lee, who must have qualified on her 2015 performance.
