My usual jovial tone in writing these updates will be notably absent today as I am dealing with a wave of emotions triggered by the passing of my father Friday night. Lung cancer and emphysema have finally claimed him after 79 years of life, eight children, twelve grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren. After nearly twenty years he's now reunited with my mother for all eternity. To the business at hand. With Ariya, Minjee and So Yeon entering the Table to more than make up for In Gee's collapse all but six scores went up Friday, though they're still quite low as less than half of us picked anyone who's higher than ninth on the leaderboard. Baggerbob was hurt most as Thursday's co leader still has just two scoring selections, but as Hyo Joo was one of them he escapes the basement where LPGA Ireland still resides even though he has points now. The top three have five scoring selections, with the top two and five of the top seven selecting Hyo Joo. Dennis has a narrow lead over Cindy at the halfway mark.Kevin

Did I call it, LPGA Ireland, or did I call it? Saturday saw Lydia rocket up the leaderboard and into the Table. Her appearance, the reemergence of In Gee along with the improved standing of Hyo Joo, Ariya and Minjee saw everyone's scores perk up into a healthier tone. LPGA Ireland remained in the cellar but felt a little better about himself.
Five contestants led with six scoring selections apiece. Incredibly all seven of you who tabbed Hyo Joo were in the top seven. Tatkins' superior accuracy had him leading at the final break.1. tatkins 58.25 (6) 2. dennis 57.75 (6) 3. shung 53.25 (6) 4. Schoolteacher Cindy 52.75 (6) 5. tonyj5 52.25 (6) 6. Verdant Garden 48.00 (5) 7. baggerbob 45.50 (5) 8. ghinhee 45.00 (5) -- GD Smyth 45.00 (5) 10. cannuck 44.00 (5) --- Golfing Grammy 44.00 (5)
12. centurion 43.50 (5) 13. IceCat 43.00 (5) 14. olamin 42.50 (5) 15. Saint-Just X 35.75 (4) 16. canlinny 35.50 (4) 17. LPGA Ireland 28.75 (3) So Yeon tumbled out of the Table but Tutta more than made up for it. All but three scores went up on Sunday. Dennis was hurt most by So Yeon's performance and slipped to ninth. Baggerbob had the same point total but fell out of the top ten. LPGA Ireland gained more points but couldn't escape the cellar and so a newly carved wooden spoon awaits him. Better luck next time.
Five led with six scoring selections each. Tatkins held off a surging VG to claim this week's title.1. tatkins 63.25 (6) 2. Verdant Garden 60.25 (6) 3. Schoolteacher Cindy 58.25 (6) -- tonyj5 58.25 (6) 5. shung 56.75 (6) 6. GD Smyth 52.50 (5) 7. Golfing Grammy 52.00 (5) 8. ghinhee 51.50 (5) 9. dennis 51.25 (5) 10. cannuck 50.00 (5)
11. centurion 49.50 (5) 12. olamin 48.50 (5) 13. baggerbob 45.50 (5) 14. canlinny 42.25 (4) 15. IceCat 39.50 (4) 16. Saint-Just X 38.00 (4) 17. LPGA Ireland 35.25 (3) Your words of condolence are greatly appreciated. I'm not sure what or where I'll be when my next turn in the rotation comes up.Kevin
