The article brings up that the security footage hasn't been made public. I don't understand that.

"a piece of writing that somehow manages to absolve Jang and her father of blame while also blaming them for everything"

Any article that contains the words, "...60 of the world’s best female golfers will tee off at Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic Golf Course..." is garbage.
Never mind, I just saw at the bottom that this article was written by a Slate intern.

Never mind, I just saw at the bottom that this article was written by a Slate intern. I actually found this article pretty well researched. One can get a good idea about the whole saga just by reading it. Sure, the writer/intern probably does not watch women's golf regularly. But credit to her, finding an angle to a story which exposes the absurd fandom of the Koreans at women's golf.

OK, but 28 of the "60 best female golfers in the world" were ranked outside of the Top 100 in the world rankings at the time of selection.

Good luck to In Gee and Ha Na moving forward. No need for security footage, move on.

Good luck to In Gee and Ha Na moving forward. No need for security footage, move on. If they'd show the CCTV footage it will end it all....either Ha Na dad is a thug or Dumbo owes Ha Na an apology cause it was an accident....nuff said.

We have the Ryan Lochte non-robbery footage. Let's get the luggage video! The fans deserve to know the truth: In Gee was blind drunk from the night out with the other sisters. As the long escalator in the airport was packed and nowhere to go, In Gee began urinating on the spot. Unbeknownst to In Gee, the father of Ha Na Jang was standing right behind her with his carry-on luggage. Some of the bodily fluid inevitably splashed on the luggage of the Jang's. An angry Papa Jang demanded In Gee to pay for the now soiled luggage. A big argument broke out between the two parties and it quickly got physical. While heavily intoxicated, In Gee took a swing at Papa Jang and missed widely, losing her balance in the way and fell squarely onto the carry-on in question, injured her back as a consequence. In Gee, being the national daring of Korea, there was an ensuing cover up by the KLPGA, and her sponsors. Not unlike the incident of the "nut-rage" daughter of Korean Air chairman, Heather Cho. Witnesses were paid off to stay mum. Security camera footage was confiscated. Needless to say, the Jang's were also strong-armed into going with the story.
