The right link: www.golfchannel.com/media/countdown-rio-lydia-ko-then-and-now/Guy has his own golf school now, (thanks to Lydia) and no doubt has parents lining up to make their kids the next wonder kid. He is not going to fly 20 hours to check on Lydia's swing plane at her tournaments. Leadbeader, however, is very much willing to travel for his star students. So it is just a matter of practicality. Give Tina some credit, when she first met Guy, he was stocking gloves in the pro shop. She was willing to put the wonder kid in his hand and stayed with him for her illustrious amateur career.

Tina knows jack sh*t about golf...it was no challenge for her to drink the Kool-Aid BJ (I'm sure he got a finder's fee) and Deadbetter's were selling.....A swing is crap.
Most new golf apprentices fold shirts and drive the driving range cart when they 1st start off.....it's an ugly way to get into the golf industry...it's neither glamorous nor monetarily beneficial.

I think Leadbetter is a package deal with Callaway and IMG. The wonder kid can work with ANYONE. I doubt BJ, outside of my future wife, would give a damn who teachers who. I always think a swing coach gets too much credit and blame for a player performance. When Lydia loses, it is because of Leadbetter. And when she wins, it is because she has so much talent that she can win despite Leadbetter. The "A Swing" is just something to sell books to desperate weekend hackers. I doubt for any world class player would just blindly abandon what they are doing and adopt whatever the teacher preaches. Golden State Warriors Andre Iguodala has become a big Wonder Kid fanboy since her visit to the team practice earlier this year. Here is a podcast of an interview with him. He asked Lydia about the A Swing, and she "diplomatically" told him each of Leadbetter's student is different and each of them adopt certain "aspect" of the A Swing. www.lpga.com/news/2016-lpga-podcast-episode-6-with-andre-iguodala

Ko seems to have good feel....and the A swing is just too technical. I don't know what you saw on the range at Kia....but it was pathetic to see Ko going into all these positions and hinge practice moves on the range at the KPMG. Sean Hogan was basically exclusive with the LOVELY HYP at Sahalee....but she wasn't going through all the sever motions like Lydia. I think the pros are too over coached...do a Hogan and figure it out in the dirt.....nuff said. I LMAO when I speak with fellow weekend hacks get all jazzed over the #'s they saw on a launch monitor on their recent visit to Golftown.

Love the two old New Zealand pros that taught her how to score. They must be very proud.
(I wouldn't play Lyds for money either, she's probably got some hustle tips too.)

(I wouldn't play Lyds for money either, she's probably got some hustle tips too.)No doubt....how else do you think Tina paid Guy Wilson up until she was able to extort the NZ Golf Fed bank accounts and that old rich guy who set up a trust fund. Tina scares me...I was so nervous and mumbling when I chatted with her at the KPMG...PaPa Ko is smart playing the...."I speaky no Engrish" act to avoid the fanboys. Sura is really cute but fast like a gazelle to avoid the fanboys too.
