Only the ones that cheated and used a broomstick...ala Langer. There is an elite player whose putting got worse, Stacy Lewis. While everyone was talking about Inbee great putting, Stacy Lewis was very close to her in putting average. She was really good at saving par inside of ten feet. I believe the drop off is really hurting her. Yup....Lewis can't putt anymore....always lipping out.....but I really enjoy watching her blame everything else except for her own bad swing or stroke....LMAO.

When a player misses a putt and either gestures that it went left but was supposed to go right or looks down at the putter like there is something on the face, they should be penalized and repeat offenders should be kicked off the tour.

I like your rule. Rory would be kicked out of PGA in a second; it's a humane way to end his non-winning misery.

So Yeon is not going to be a top player. She is just too well rounded of a person to be one.
To be a top dog, u need "single mindedness". That is not caring for anything else but golf. But SYR just embraces life.
Her English is the best among Koreans, by a mile. She wants to fully experience the tour life, not just hanging with the Korean clique.
I still remember she was invited into broadcast booth during one of the Asian stop to provide commentary. Despite of her imperfect English, she ended up outshining her American counterparts Morgan Pressel. Which other Korean player would have taken on this kind of challenge?
Lydia is a top dog because golf IS her life. Just like her long time coach Guy Wilson said, she has been raised by her parents since she was 6 to play golf, much like Tiger Woods. (Fortunately, unlike Tiger, her parents also raised a great human being.)
Se Ri Pak recently tried to put her career in perspective. She said when she was playing great golf, she really didn't know how to live life. That she really hopes this generation of Korean player can achieve more of a balance in golf and life. I think SYR is already making her "unni" proud.

There are tournaments played in Asia, how many US players speak any of the any Asian Language. By the way So Yeon is already a top player.

The player I think who is the rebuttal for this is Inbee Park. When Inbee was all-in on golf, she had her worst results. When she met a man and got married, she found the balance in her life that allowed her to blossom as a player as well (I don't know the exact timeline of her improvement in her game and her relationship with Gi Yeob Nam, but it is certainly clear she maintained her #1 quality of play last year, long after her wedding day). You could say the same for Juli Inkster as well. So Yeon does seem to me to be a complete player now. Her issue is that she somehow doesn't mentally stay in the moment when the time comes to close the deal. She certainly has had umpteen chances to get wins. Ryu did win twice last year, both not on the LPGA of course. And one of those wins came toe to toe against Inbee. But the LPGA competition seems to get into her head. Maybe she should play more events like Portland or Australia where the fields are weaker so she can get the monkey off her back? EDIT: To me, a player who does have this "problem" is IK Kim. Inky seems much more interested in her life outside golf these days, and I think it's affected her game. Soo Jin Yang on the KLPGA, with her golf design career, seems another example.

By "single mindedness" I don't mean being an island in life. Tiger and Annika continued to dominate after they got married. Lydia has plenty of friends and an active social life.
In fact, having someone to support you could make you even more focused on your goal.
Another example is my future wife. And thats why she will never be a top player. It is unheard of for a player to go back to college, Stanford no less, to study full time after turning pro. Michelle also dabbles in painting and design. She just doesn't let golf define her life.
You mentioned Inky, she is the closest resemblance to SYR from Korea. But Inky isn't nearly the same golfer as SYR to begin with.

Inky and So Yeon both have three career LPGA wins (although Inky obviously missed out on her Major and Ryu didn't). I agree that So Yeon is a better golfer, but at one point IK was racking up top tens at an alarming rate. They didn't call her Income Kim for nothing! Alas, those days seem long gone.
