KANGSY! Who says you have to be a teenager to win golf tournaments? She is one of only two Sisters I have ever seen win a tournament in person.
My one unadulterated highlight this week. Great to also see Jiyai, Ha Neul and Bo Mee in the mix. If you'd thrown Sun Ju Ahn in there, you would have had all my fave JLPGA Korean stars.
Hwaiting!

I fell asleep...I was hoping Smile Candy would pull this off...one of the Flying Dumbo's thought Bo Mee is too short and chunky....LMAO....those Flying Dumbo guys are too funny. Vern and Happy missed out on chatting with them. SKY is simply too SWEET! Followed Bo Mee at ANA. She is pretty short, but not as chunky as she looked in the photo above.

Hee-Won Han must be the other. Ding ding ding. Back in 2006. Believe it or not, it's been a decade since I got to see a Korean win in person (unless you count Lydia Ko; I was at both of her Canadian Women's Open wins in Vancouver).

Awesome! Soo-Yun Kang might just be the most elegant player I've ever watched. She is still winning while poor Se Ri can no longer finish nine holes.
Oh and remember when Kang badly missed a short par putt to force a playoff with Yani at Corning? Now Kangsy would have to give Yani two strokes a side in a money game.

I've attended 05,06, 08, 10, 13....Columbia is so much better than Pumpkin...Pumpkin was too far out too. Too bad you didn't stay till Sunday for both of Ko's win...they were awesome especially 2012....you could have helped me rub it in Tony, Cindy, Golfinggrammy & hubby's face when Ko beat Lewis in the playoff...that alone was worth the price of admission. It's weird that Portland will be played at the end of this month....I think the LOVELY HYP will play because she seems to enjoy the housing host that has accommodated her the past 8 years....in 2013 is when I started my Rocket fandom...I didn't know who I was going to watch then she smiled and waved at me at the range and that was it. I had never watched her play prior to 2013.

All the players are better looking and slimmer in real life....ya...I would have watch Smile Candy play too.

I saw Kangsy and Hee-Won win at the same events as HappyFan. I went through Wikipedia's entries for the LPGA Tour seasons from 2003, when I went to my first tournament to see which Seoul Sisters I've personally seen win. There's also MJ Hur, Jiyai Shin (the season-ending ADT of 2008 where I also saw The Donald), Hee Kyung Seo and Sei Young Kim. Plus Lydia Ko twice. I've witnessed Suzann Pettersen win 3 times.
To answer mr3putt's question from another thread about the South African tournament, it was a non-official event held from 2006 to 2008 at the beginning of the season. It was kind of a proto-type International Crown where a pair of players from various countries competed against each other. You bleed LPGA blue if you can guess which countries won over the lifetime of this event. Hint: they span the globe.

I think I've seen Annika win in person more often than all the Korean golfers combined... I recall one year at that South Africa event that Jiyai Shin and Eun Hee Ji represented Korea? Anyway, that might have been the year where Korea was doing great but got caught and passed in the final round by the Philippines, featuring Jennifer Rosales and Dorothy Delasin. Yeah, they cheated; Delasin is American. The other year JJ was one of the players, but I'm not sure who was the other. Someone obscure. Bo Bae Song, maybe? Just going by memory... My other memory of Kangsy from her Portland win was that she smoked a lot while she was playing. The only other player I recall puffing on the course was Rosales. I wonder if Kang ever gave it up?
