You are too funny. You'll root for Korean born now Aussie, Su Oh, but HATE on the Korean born Entitled Kiwi Princess. You'll cheer for the Australian born fake Korean Minjee Lee , yet we've never seen fan fare from you for the Yank born fake Koreans such as GIMMEE, Wiezy, Xtina, D. Kang. Hmmmmm.  |

This story might have started on seoul sisters but Mell has finished it, like 9 or 10 times. Did golf channel ever show them hugging it out on 1 or 18 Thursday? What's most interesting about this story seems to escape Mell and most of the other writers. It's not any inherent discomfort in the Jang-Chun interactions. It's the fact that the media and the fans and the culture around Korean golf has turned this into a much bigger deal than I think it ever was in their minds. So, yes, it is weird for them to be together, but if all these external forces were painting you as a bitter rival of someone else, it would probably play with your mind after a while no matter what the truth was. It's this insight into how player are shaped and misshaped by the Korean media and culture (see also how NYC deals with the media's depiction of her as an underperformer) -- that's why this story matters and is more than just a tabloid Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding rehash with kimchi flavoring. I'm rooting for them both to emerge from this better than before, and I think they eventually will. Great points. I do think Mell understands and is interested in this aspect personally but most golf channel articles are written to the lowest common denominator. |

Any pics of the Flying Dumbo's from the Merican media...they were keen enough to capture a pic of SayYouSeri in Phoenix.
NHK was not there but WooWoo is present...there's always at least a minimum of 6 Japanese media ready to interview the Japanese stars after their rd.
I continue to be shocked there aren't at least 10 Korean media personnel follow the tour.

Hmmmmmm....SYR is hiding The Italian well....I didn't watch SYR play, but as she was leaving the clubhouse...I said hi and she was only with mom.
Mr. Heath was present and Aza's hubby is now looping....unfortunately I didn't get to watch Belen or Aza play.

It doesn't seem like IGC could drop out of the top 4 but I haven't done the math or anything.
AmyY and SYR could both move into the top 4 I think pretty easily with a very top score. Are we seeing the IGC and Ha Na showdown for international crown today?

I only met with Vern briefly twice...he wanted to watch other players or he was too nice to say he didn't want to hang out with a dbag like the Smiling Buddha. Happy likely was standing near SB several times...but we both never figured it out...I think he was thrown off looking for a Chinese version of Brad Pitt. Happy was also near the SB at the CWO last year too and never realized it. Fanofseri lives near you...you should invite him to the show and buy him lunch for his troubles.....mnmilistglfr and fourwaymiss should also be guests....you should also reach out to some Flying Dumbo's to come onto the show...they are AWESOME. SB will only come on the show if The Rocket is invited. |
