While the leaders are shooting under par....SYR and Amy are demonstrating their poor closing abilities once again....they need to seek out Jack as a mentor. I figured one of them would falter but with both of them in with a good look I hoped one would come through, ugh.. Amy's +4 was particularly disappointing. If So Yeon has Rio aspirations she has to start doing better on Sundays, time is a ticking.. Congrats to Ariya, that was a nice win and back to back titles is no mean feat! Awesome showing by Su Oh, that result will likely lock up her card for next year already, everything from now on in is bonus material.

This from a guy who is afraid to compete in Pak Picker. For the record Stacy continues to be one of the most consistent point getters on tour. Her and Ryu may have forgotten how to win...but they are great Pak Pickers. What the pluck is Pak Picker? I've seen it, how does it work scoring wise. From my post to start the 2015 Pakpicker season: Scoring is made up of two parts. The first is based on where your pick finishes in the top 12. If she finished first, you get nine (9) points regardless of where you picked her. 0.75 point is deducted for each place after first with 0.75 point for 12th place. The second part is the player’s finish in the top 12 versus your pick of her in the top 12. Picking the exact placement earns six (6) points with 0.5 point deducted for each place off. For example, if you picked Jessica Korda to finish 7th and she actually finished 4th. You earn 11.25 points (6.75 for finish plus 4.50 for being 3 places off). If you pick Julieta Grenada 2nd and she finishes in a tie for 12th, you get 1.75 points (0.75 finish plus 1.00 for being 10 places off). If you pick Lydia Ko to win and she does, that’s 15 points (9.00 plus 6.00) the most you can earn on any one pick in Pakpicker. Any picks of players who finish outside the top 12, withdraw, fail to make the cut or are disqualified earn zero points.

Tony asked me to play before. I should have said yes. I'm not afraid to embarrass myself, but it is tough to win if you pick Se Ri to win every tournament

Round 4 With the final round on tape delay, I decided I would only stay unspoiled if the scores were close. Alas, with all four of the ladies I was mainly rooting for having lesser days, I didn't wait to see the coverage (still haven't watched it, although I have it on Tivo). Congrats to Jutanugarn. Obviously I was hoping for In Gee or So Yeon especially to get the trophy, but I was pretty much expecting So Yeon and Amy to struggle like they always seem to do on Sunday, and sure enough, that's what happened. I was a little more surprised that In Gee didn't close this one out. After how well she played yesterday, I felt like she had some real momentum on her side. Yes, it's hard to follow up a great round with another one, but Ariya had a really strong round on Saturday, too, and it didn't stop her. I agree with the sentiment here that it just wasn't In Gee's week all in all. She really had three so so rounds and one amazing one, but that was still good enough for a top ten. When you can get a top ten with your B effort, that's the sign of a real star. And really, she looked like she was in line for a struggle for a top 50 after two days, so notching a tenth is really quite a good result. I'm still feeling like she has something really special in store right around the corner. Go In Gee! So Yeon I'm not so sure about. At this point I have literally no idea what she needs to get through this funk. She puts herself up there all the time and never wins. I feel when she does win, it will be on a course where not so many people are going low, but it seems like she'll need the other specialists on those types of courses to have off weeks. Nice week for Su Oh, a player I really like. But it would have been some kind of weird if she got her first rookie win before In Gee considering their respective records. Good week also for Sei Young Kim and MJ Hur. Can MJ become a force out here? She's quietly having a great season. Go Sisters!!!!

Although she missed the cut at Yokohama, she's been top 6 in 3 of her last 4 events. Despite the fact that she is a multiple winner on tour, she does seem to be one of those players who flies beneath the radar in terms of heavy media coverage...then again, the LPGA overall...for all of its growth...seems to fly under the radar. Golf Central Sunday night still threw the LPGA in at the last 8 minutes of the hour...they covered an NCAA women's event before the LPGA! So-Yeon Ryu...honestly, had she maintained the lead through the weekend and won, I would have been happy. Of course I'm rooting for Ariya, but had SYR held the lead and kept it, I'm fine with that. Now, if Ariya had a 3 shot lead with 2 to play and blows it, allowing SYR to win, that's a different and heartbreaking scenario. Maybe the Golf Gods are making us SYR fans suffer now for another Major win on the horizon. In-Gee will be fine. A matter of when, not if.. and I suspect sooner rather than later.

I have a good feeling that Queen Carbon Footprint will get it done in Michigan.

I watched the coverage finally... I was happy to see how much coverage In Gee got considering she was not in the mix. But the best part was the Volvik tournament commercial -- the gist of it was, watch out for the new blood, can they top the veterans? The new blood they focused on: Henderson (of course), Korda (huh? new?) and IN GEE! Great close up of a big smile from In Gee, and in case you missed that, her photo and name with the other two women mentioned. How cool! That's the first time I recall her being singled out in a promo. Next up: get her into the start-of-coverage montage!

You would think she had the Lydia Ko type of record before she turned pro. She even lost to a middle of the pack amateur Gillian in the USWA finals. She is a good player but not a great player. Maybe she will be but she isn't yet. Jessica is ranked over a hundred in putting, is what's holding her back. Oh Yeah! Also those ugly pants she sometime wears. But that's ok I like Jessie.

SYF - What you have to try and understand is that Canada hasn't had a real good player on the LPGA Tour in decades (Sandra Post? ). She is to Canada now what Se Ri was years ago. Hope! Where I certainly agree that she doesn't have Lydia's track record before she turned pro (who does?), she is in the top 5 or 6 in the world and leads the tour this year in top tens. Personally, when I turn on my TV, it's Lexi, Brooke, In Gee, that I want to see the most of (we are going to see enough of Lydia), unless they are way out of contention. Dawn Coe-Jones? I like Brooke too but I'm not going so far as to compare her to Se Ri Pak, who changed the face of global women's golf and lifted the spirit of her country during the IMF crisis, all on her way to the Hall of Fame. Ariya just got Thailand in the winners column finally and no doubt will inspire young Thai golfers. She ain't close to being what Se Ri Pak is. But I'm with you in cheering for Brooke. Then again, except when I was down in the dumps about all the Ariya collapses, I root for just about everyone.

The one I saw mostly near the end of coverage....featured mainly the Yank diva's and the fakes....no Dumbo, Canadian Princess or Korda.

I think there's more fawning/drooling about the Canadian Princess from the Merican media than from the tundra up here. I LUV it...nice back stab about Brooke losing to Gillman....lol.

We Canucks s*ck at producing great golfers....even though we are golf crazed. We need to send more gals to Dr. Won Park's robot factory. I've never cared for Lorie Kane and Weirsy is a smug dbag. It was before my time...but I like George Knudson and Moe Morman....I got Moe's autograph at the 2004 CWO one month before he passed away.

Yes...ya can't put The Canadian Princess's name in the same sentence as Se Ri. What Eldrick did for golf...Se Ri did the same for golf in S. Korea. In a way I kinda hate Se Ri...if not for her...I'd likely only be paying $10 green fees here in Asia/Korea Golf Central.

I saw two different ads for Volvik. The one they only recently started showing featured In Gee. I think the other one was the usual suspects only.

Was the one with In Gee featuring the Volvik tournament? If it was featuring golf balls...it would be strange to feature Dumbo.....I believe she's a Srixon gal....unless the doctor got her a new endorsement with Volvik.....blah...Volvik golf balls.
