A field of 120 tees off Friday at Gaya CC near Busan. Promo video: Nexen is still making those artistic golf balls, many of high quality (multi-piece, urethane), but I haven't come across any evidence of touring staffers using them. Website: saintninegolf.com/00_main/main.aspNexen has joined golf's marshmallow war with its newest release, the Extreme Soft:

Phil, have you found a working link for live streaming. I have tried all kinds of links without success. I can still get the website that has the leaderboard. But still get the SBS error, no matter how I get there.

HF and johnboy said they watched the KLPGA Lotte Mart on SBS Golf at this link: www.kuhutv.com/node/67When I try it now, I get one of those 404 web errors, but in Chinese. I went to kuhutv.com and it's all in Chinese...couldn't figure it out. I use the Mozilla browser. When I go to korealive.tk, I now get a screen saying this link has been reported as an "attack website". I don't know if it's true, but I'm not taking chances.

Practice Ji Hee Kim I assume this is a caddie who is standing on the new back tee for the 2nd hole (it was 166 yards last year). The course length is set at 6,856 yards, which strikes me as really long for any women's tourney (it was 6,649 yards last year).

Thanks for the correction re the streaming. It's working perfectly and so is the streaming for JTBC Golf.
SBS Golf will have their live coverage of the Nexen-St. Nine from Noon to 5 PM each day (Korea time), plus replays.

Round 1 Woah, 7 players tied for the lead at 3 under: Jung Eun Lee 5, Ji Yeon Park, Hae Rym Kim, Hye Youn Kim, Gyeol Park, Kyu Bin Kim, and Rookie So Young Lee! So Young Lee is definitely a rookie to watch this year. Co-leader Hae Rym Kim Co-leader Gyeol Park Sung Hyun Park (t-27th, Even) Jung Min Lee (-2, T-8th) Song Yi Ahn (+2, T-62nd) Soo Jin Yang Shin Ae Ahn Char Young Kim Ye Jin Kim Da Ye Na visiting from the JLPGA Won Joo Jang working the body language

Jung Min Lee was leading, minus four when I stopped watching. I thought that she would build on her lead, not drop shots.

My guess is that Da Ye Na is not visiting from the JLPGA...she left the JLPGA. She played only two JLPGA events, both in March. That's a new sponsor on her cap...a Korean burial business, I think, which probably sells a lot better in Korea than Japan. Also, she's no longer an official OnOff golf gear staffer (although I see one OnOff head cover above). ******** A couple more from Round One, Ju Young Park and Yoon Ji Cho

Sharon and Soo Jin (w/ her baseball player, I assume) are teetering on the cut line (+2).
