Okay, I think I've seen a large enough sample of Saintnine golfwear ... breaks no new ground. MHL gets Spieth YJS and Chairwoman Mao tomorrow.

Watching this tournament can be very frustrating. Why do they have to show highlights every 15 minutes? While they are showing these highlights we are missing approach shots to the green.

Lydia looks different now. It is subtle, but she looks rich.
Sarah Schmelzel, pretty nice swing for a white girl.

Round 3 The Sisters were treading water today. It's not impossible to imagine Hye Jin or Sei Young or Na Rin going low tomorrow, but they haven't usually had strong Sundays this year and it feels like that isn't going to happen tomorrow either. No offense to Hye Jin, she's had a pretty good year so far, but she shouldn't be outplayed by Schmelzel, Grewal or Riuxin Liu (who?). If she puts together a so-so 70, she's right in this. Instead, she shoots a 73, "highlighted" by hitting an approach into the water on 15 I think for a double. I actually think Sei Young has a better chance to steal this since she can get on a roll and be incredible, but she hasn't seen that form on Sunday in ages. In any event, here's hoping they can get top fives, because a good result here will help with the Olympic campaign. Yu Jin Sung is close to a top ten as well. Cheering for her to move up those rookie standings. Hwaiting!

Four days ago, what would have been the odds that Sarah Schmelzel, Bailey Tardy, and Savannah Grewal would have been the three golfers atop the leaderboard? 100-1? 500-1? 1000-1? What a trifecta! The 'sure bet' would have been that none of the three would make the cut...
And when Sarah started her round with three consecutive birdies? Crazy! She has come back to earth since then...
Don't count out Ko, Minjee, or Fur-oo wearing a yellow skirt... but since none of the sisters are competitive at this point, it would be great to see a surprise winner change her career...

Interesting iron swing by Clemson Hab Savannah Grewal ... a vicious chop, but it's working. I'm tired of The ECP ... we need a new one and Grewal could be it. In case you're wondering, her dad is of Punjabi Sikh descent and her mom is of Korean and Swedish descent. The broadcasters are pronouncing Grewal as "Grool" (rhymes with "cruel") ... is this accurate? She sounds better as "Gree Wall" in my mind.
*******
Ewan Porter mentioned Minjee having problems adjusting to her new ball ... said it tended to "float" or some such words ... brand was unmentioned, but we know it's Callaway. Which ball did McIlroy rip a few years for being no good in the wind? I think it was Cally.
*******
Lucky for Bailey Two that there are no fashionista points in golf ... she has some appealing qualities, but she's a mess in that Vinyard Vines outfit.

Totally agree with you, Tony. We can never be sure what to expect from some of the internationally produced coverage, but this week seems particularly frustrating for the reason you stated.

I'm with you on the pronunciation of Grewal's name, Phil. I always think "Gree-wall" or at the worst "Groo-all" but not "Grool." The Aussie announcers are great for their candor, wish the regular GC crew would pick up some of that... but after hearing them refer to Nasa as "Atta-WOKE-uh" last year... accurate pronunciation is not their strong point...

Questions: Golf Channel and Peacock have identical broadcast windows for Round Four (11 PM - 5 AM, ET) ... are both feeds EXACTLY the same? Does Peacock have commercials? On GC, Bailey Two was getting ready to hit her drive at #8 ... which was interrupted by an abrupt cut to a bunch of commercials ... and when they rejoined the golf, the broadcasters were in the middle of describing the action, as if they didn't know that the GC audience had just been watching commercials. When the PGA Tour has an event in Asia, does GC give the same bush league treatment for it?

Hope that some of you can stay up for what promises to be an interesting and exciting finish. I need to travel Sunday on the third day of a three day moving trip for my daughter. So I'll find out who won in the morning...

Agree with you Phil, Bailey's drive at #8 was one of several occurrences of abrupt breaks to commercials (or return from commercials). It keeps happening.

Just waking up in U.K. expecting to see Lydia rip it up and the wheels have fallen off. Who is Tardy Bailey? This Grewal girl just makes me think of Oliver! the musical. They sing a song about Gruel. Looks like an exciting finish. To quote Oliver - please sir, can I have some more!

Congrats to Bailey Tardy, aka Bailey Two, on her victory in the Blue Bay LPGA, her first career LPGA win. I stayed up late enough to watch the final group make the turn, I think. She ran away from the others on the back nine.
Hye-Jin put on a nice run of four consecutive birdies on the back nine. Even with her bogey on 18, she finished 9th. No sister was a factor in the final two rounds, really. On the other hand, all the sisters who did make the cut ended up in the top half of the field at the end. Guess I'm stretching to put a positive spin on this weekend...
