The thumbnail image for LPGA events on my Youtube TV is still Cheyenne Woods.

Faldo Golf ... 18 holes, 18 pars, I'll take it ... and now for the really BIG news ... MHL might be an apparel free agent after being with MU Sports forever. I have no idea what that 'S' represents on her shirt and belt ... after further magnification, I think the word SAINT is above the buttons on her shirt ... a bit dull, it could have come off the discount rack at Dick's. On the other hand, she may have tired of the cornball "dog cartoon" logo of MU Sports.
I assume she "upgraded" to the latest and greatest Callaway driver ... she's been doing that since at least 2014 ... and The SSQ is still wisely using Cally wedges. The big change is the irons ... after further magnification, I see she is playing Mizuno MX-I Forged irons, which is a "NEW" product on the Mizuno Korea site ... but this model is NOT on Mizuno's Japan site!!!

I see Nelly is doing well on her home course. Decent TV coverage for Hae Ran playing with Lydia and Lilia. Gaby Ruffels taking her Epsom form onto the LPGA

Really good round for Sei Young Kim at minus four. Min Ji Kang leads the Korean Rookies at minus four followed by So Mi Lee at minus two. I think that So Mi Lee has the best chance for Rookie of the Year because she is more talented. Following Jiwon Jeon, Yu Ji Sung at minus one, Hyo Joon Jang plus one and Hee Jin Im at plus two. Gabriella Ruffels made birdie on her first two holes and an Eagle on eight with one bogey. Her back nine went the other way with a double, three bogeys and a birdie. As an ex-USC Trojan she need to Step-up and compete with that up-start ex UCLA Bruin Lilia Vu ( kidding)

Round 1 Nice first round for So Mi Lee which included an eagle and a 268 yard driving average, 16/18 greens. Little secret: she is known on the KLPGA for being a great wind player, having won several times on Jeju Island in her career. She definitely wants the wind to keep blowing this week. Lydia has now won the last two events if you include the team thing. And here she is tied for the lead again. Sei Young Kim had a rare excellent outing, 67, joining Min Ji Kang. Decent start for Yu Jin, too, at 1 under. In Gee still above the cut line at 1 over but has some work to do. Jin Hee Im is on the other side of the cut but still has some time to right the ship tomorrow. Sisters hwaiting!!

NASA played with her idol Yani for the first time on Thursday. Yani, playing for self-respect on Friday, is -2 on her first 4 holes.

MHL dropped to T-50 before hitting her first shot on Friday. Just started watching the broadcast ... I hope the Fassi-cam is employed later.
FYI - Bradenton CC will be a USWO qualifying site on May 13.
Voodoo doing a lot better on the logos since 12 months ago ... but still has plenty of space to rent. Arcis Golf on her sleeve is a golf club operator. Acumatica is a business ERP vendor. I think that's "Secretariat" on her collar ... have no idea what that means ... do a search on it and all you get is a dead horse.

J. Song had 79 reasons to drop out after Thursday ... don't know which one she chose. Money Chien quit after shooting 76 ... Stark shot 76 but didn't quit ... good move as she had 64 on Friday. The course seems to be playing easier on Friday ...
... which leads to MHL ... made first birdie after 26 holes ... currently T-50, it'll be white knuckles for the last five holes.
Mack Attack had 39 putts on Thursday .... playing like a golfer now, but too little too late.

... which leads to MHL ... made first birdie after 26 holes ... currently T-50, it'll be white knuckles for the last five holes. After no birdies for nearly a round and a half, she made three in a row on her second nine and easily cleared the cut... Go MHL! T-18 after two rounds; she's not going to win but top ten within sight...

MHL interview on Thursday:
***********
They're down to twosomes on the weekend ... MHL gets Ewing, who does nothing for me.
***********
The SSQ went 0-for-1 in sand saves on Thursday, but I'll happily accept that in exchange for 30 out of 36 greens thru Friday.
Friday pic ... my best guess is the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver ... I wonder how big a seller this line will be when it looks like someone dragged the sole for a 100 feet on a paved cart path.
*********
An educated guess: Yu Jin Sung's mom

Since you didn't get to see her on TV, here's a highlight package of So Mi from round 2:
Another great Korean rookie you didn't see: Yu Jin Sung

Round 2 Solid day for the Sisters to set up some weekend runs. Congrats to the four rookies in their first events! So Mi Lee was fantastic today; great tee-to-green and made some good putts. She ended up two shots behind Korda on her home course, in solo second. Hopefully she'll get some great attention tomorrow and Sunday. Let the winds blow for the "Wind Queen" (no kidding, I found an article calling her that). Min Ji Kang might be the biggest surprise, tied 6th after two rounds. She has one big advantage over the KLPGA rookies: she has played a lot more on American courses. It was nice to see Sei Young hang in today. She was nowhere near as good as yesterday. but she chipped in a long shot on a par 5 for eagle, and that allowed her to stay in the hunt. Yu Jin produced two solid days to make her first cut, albeit eight back at 2 under. Jin Hee Im was never able to get going and missed her first cut, but since she has played almost never in the West, and has a history of picking things up quickly, expect that she will get acclimated in the next few months, and then watch out! I did watch some of the broadcast. At one point, they had shown every person on the first page of the leaderboard... except, well, you know... So Mi. As I say, hope that gets rectified tomorrow. Nice to see In Gee and A Lim make the cut. Mi Hyang and Hye Jin are still close enough at 3 under to have a shot at a top five. Sisters Hwaiting!
