Yes, Min Sol Kim wasn't as sharp as usual on her pitch shots.

CW Wu of Taiwan leads by four shots at -18, but the biggest news is the second place player:
**********
Baby Shinster is the top Korean at -13.

Round 3 1 Wu, Chun-Wei Chinese Taipei -17 67-65-66 198 2 Malixi, Rianne Mikhaela Philippines -14 70-69-63 202 T3 Zhang, Yahui China -13 68-69-66 203 - Lee, Hyosong Republic of Korea -13 70-66-67 203 5 Rubrong, Pimpisa Thailand -12 68-68-68 204 Notables: T6 Yang, Hyojin Republic of Korea -10 73-65-68 206 T8 Kim, Minsol Republic of Korea -9 70-69-68 207 T12 Park, Seojin Republic of Korea -7 69-69-71 209 T25 Im, Amy New Zealand -3 68-76-69 213 T29 Oh, Soomin Republic of Korea -2 75-68-71 214 - Galitsky, Eila Thailand -2 67-75-72 214 - Kim, Shihyun Republic of Korea -2 71-70-73 214 I can't tell if the conditions were just ideal on day three or if they dumbed down the course or both, but suddenly there were low rounds everywhere, including the lowest ever at this event, a 63, plus two 66s, a 65, and a bunch of other decent results. The Taiwanese player Chun-Wei Wu had a great start and hung on to shoot 66 and carve out a four shot lead. I have no idea if this will be an easy win for her or if she will completely collapse tomorrow. Ditto for the Filipina Malixi, who is well exceeding her WAGR ranking this week, shooting the 63 on Saturday to take solo second at the moment. Among the Sisters, Hyo Song Lee took advantage. She shot a 67 to move to 13 under, five back, and that despite two lipouts and two other putts that stopped on the rim and didn't fall. Although still a bunch back, she is tied third and could be in great position to steal this if she has the kind of final round she had last year at the Korean Women's Amateur. Min Sol Kim had her best round of the week but is 9 back. I still wouldn't count her out, because the people ahead of her are so untested. If she plays brilliantly she still could win, although a top five would be a more likely scenario. Hyojin Yang also had a nice 68 on day three and is tied 6th. All six Koreans are still in the top 30. Go Sisters!! Hwaiting! Below: this Thai gal Navaporn Soontreeyapas has had TWO aces this week. I've never seen that happen before: https://www.instagram.com/p/C2385AyPxCs

Wu Chun Wei had five or six great looks at birdie on the back nine and only made two. So if her ball striking is the same the Final round, she may be hard to catch.
Min Sol Kim got to minus five for the round, but had a late bogey,

Round 4 Wu didn't play nearly as well as yesterday, and she fell to as small a lead as one stroke, but she managed a birdie on a drivable par 4 and that got her just enough of a lead to hang in for the win. Hyo Song had another solid day, shooting a 69 to gain three shots on Wu. Alas, she needed five, and so finished solo second, improving on her finish at age 13 by one place. Maybe next time! Min Sol Kim also had a good day, a 4 under 68, and moved into the top five. Hyo Jin Yang finished t-8th, and all six Sisters finished within the top 30. Great week for them! Pity they didn't manage the win, but Wu, who is ranked 264th in the world, lower than pretty much all the Sisters, just had her game firing on all cylinders. Sisters hwaiting! 1 Wu, Chun-Wei Chinese Taipei -18 67-65-66-72 270 2 Lee, Hyosong Republic of Korea -16 70-66-67-69 272 3 Sriwong, Achiraya Thailand -15 70-68-69-66 273 4 Rubrong, Pimpisa Thailand -14 68-68-68-70 274 T5 Kim, Minsol Republic of Korea -13 70-69-68-68 275 - Malixi, Rianne Mikhaela Philippines -13 70-69-63-73 275 Notables: T8 Yang, Hyojin Republic of Korea -11 73-65-68-71 277 T14 Im, Amy New Zealand -7 68-76-69-68 281 T22 Park, Seojin Republic of Korea -5 69-69-71-74 283 T26 Oh, Soomin Republic of Korea -4 75-68-71-70 284 - Galitsky, Eila Thailand -4 67-75-72-70 284 30 Kim, Shihyun Republic of Korea -3 71-70-73-71 285

It's a CW world in 2024 ... and she also gets an automatic invite to ANWA, per past qualification rules.
"CT", get it?

Hyo Song Lee highlight. As she continues to rack up success internationally I hope we will get to see her occasionally play over here as well.

A shout out to Hyo Song Lee for the clutch birdie on eighteen for a solo second place. Also, Min Sol Kim for a fifth-place finish.
Congratulations to Chun Wei Wu for the Championship win.
