SBS Golf Channel has gone all-in on the KLPGA rookie class of 2019. They are DOMINATING the programming in the offseason! Rookie of the year Ayean Cho is featured on SBS Golf Channel in her own program: "Ayean Cho in New Zealand!" (Wellington to be specific) Here's a clip showing off her impressive jump rope skills. And here's an ad for the show she posted on her Instagram. At one point they ask: 'Do you know Ayean? Do you know irons?' since her name sounds a lot like how they say 'iron' in Korean. https://www.instagram.com/p/B72JJHYlUsQ Not to be outdone, several of the other 'KLPGA Swing Girls' do karaoke: Hee Jeong Lim, Ga Young Lee, So Mi Lee and Seung Yeon Lee. Lim does Adele -- in English! She has a pretty good voice, too! This show is called KLPGA Swing Girls. Another episode of Swing Girls: And the top gals have vlogs, too! Ayean Cho Hee Jeong Lim So Mi Lee Ga Young Lee -- look at who she bumps into at the range! Only in Korea... Seung Yeon Lee If the Golf Channel did something like this with some of the LPGA golfers, I bet it would help their ratings.

It's downtime at the CLPGA until the next event at the end of February, the Hong Kong Open (assuming the Corona bug doesn't take over). Meanwhile, they posted an article last week on a future IMG client (IF she can really play) Manlixiang Yang (A), currently # 1325 on WAGR.
She has at least a couple of wins as a junior, but bombed out of last month's China Open, 79-79.
She missed making the cut at 2020 CLPGA q-school by one stroke, 74-79.

Simin Feng ... does she have decent golf status anywhere in 2020? She was #54 on the Sept. 2019 Symetra priority list.

16-year-old Ina Yoon is another up and coming amateur Korean star. Watch out for her in the next couple of years!

I'm a month late with this, but it never occurred to me that the CLPGA also has a year-end awards show for 2019 ... which they fleshed out with some odd categories.
Wei Wei Zhang took the two important ones.

I'm not up on everyone's IG follower count, but holy crap, how can SIX (aka The Total Package) have only 16.5 K? The latest Google mush from her winter camp in Thailand After three weeks of training that were too short, a new season begins again. When I first came to Jisan Academy seven years ago, I watched the programs I had only watched on television, and I trembled just by learning and playing together. I thought a lot about being a respectable junior student and teaching a lot of junior students. Dear children, thank you so much for the letter.https://www.instagram.com/p/B7-oyhTlg35 ****** FYI, I think she just did her first English language TV commercial … well, it was just one word, as she holds up a Titleist ball with her left hand and says "consistency". I couldn't find the ad on YouTube.

She was filming with her sponsor Master Bunny here - but has been in Thailand for a while practicing, it seems. At some point during the shoot she did an Instagram live

Yui's latest posting below has her upcoming schedule ... with Blue Bay cancelled, she will play the JLPGA opener on Okinawa instead. Plus, she'll play the next three JLPGA events after that, which means she's skipping Founders Cup and Kia. I'm guessing her T-8 last week would be good enough to get her into the ANA in April and any money she picked up in Australia in February would be gravy.

I'm not up on everyone's IG follower count, but holy crap, how can SIX (aka The Total Package) have only 16.5 K? This got me searching Instagram accounts: Wee 566K Lexi 452K Muni He 288K Hyunju Yu 166K Shinae Ahn 153K Cheyenne Woods 145K Kang 140K Jessica Korda 140K Lydia Ko 138K Nelly 125K Ai Miyazato 113K Brooke 96.9K Injee 84K Namdalla 72.6K Soyeon Ryu 60.4K Yui Kawamoto 51.8K Ariya 44.4K Minjee 42.8K Maria Fassi 42K Jin Young 32.8K Jane Kim 32.7K Moriya 26K Na yeon Choi 24K Nasa 21.7K Mi Jung Hur 20.8K Lee6 16.5KYealimi Noh 15.4K Christina Kim 14.2K Hye Jin Choi 13.8K Jenny Shin 13.4K IK Kim 12.8K Mi Hyang Lee 12.2K Ji-hyun Oh 9,963 Tiff Joh 9,654 Amy Yang 9,255 Chella Choi 9,189 Hyo Joo Kim 8,277 Jennifer Song 7,421 Mo Stackhouse 6,886 Hana Jang 5,796 Megan Khang 5,427 Sei Young 4,861 Jane Park 4,842 Su Oh 4,777 Angel Yin 4,163 Dasom Lee 4,092 Eun Hee Ji 3,884 Yu Liu 2,740 I'm sure I'm missing some... I think the general golf universe is still a bit clueless on Lee6, sadly. Another good year and a couple more wins might change that. Not a bad number of followers for one year on the big tour, and for someone who doesn't post a lot, and never really glamour shots. And what about world #1 at only 32.8K??

Given how great she is, Lee6 still doesn't get a lot of attention over here. It's kind of like how Jin Young was in 2018 before she started winning left and right. I have a good feeling about Lucky Six this year. She improved by leaps and bounds between her first and second year on the KLPGA, so hopefully she's going to really rock in 2020 in her second year on the LPGA!
