53% ?!? Embarrassing for supposed LPGA fans.
Daytona dodged a bullet on that one. Just another example that Twitter is EVIL!!

Congrats to Inbee, and thank goodness!
Reading the tweets, it seems like a lot of the people who voted for Henderson basically reasoned that she brought more eyes to the game than Inbee, and so was the Player of the Decade. First of all, not true (you have to include the millions of Asians who watch the game, not just the Westerners) and second, this isn't Fan Favorite of the Decade.

Congrats to Inbee on her induction to the "Hall of Falme". The person putting this on Twitter ( which is evil ) was probably just giddy about the massive embarrassment that they barely avoided and wasn't worried about typos.
And congrats to Twitter's Player of the Decade 2000-2009 : Natalie Gulbis !!

I am really not surprised by the close vote. Because of the way the LPGA promoted Brooke Henderson. Not only did they say that she deserved to make the top four. They predicted that she would be voted top four the next decade. When she wasn't even a top four player this decade. You can't blame the voters for how they voted. They went with the information they received from the LPGA.

Disparate standards for Asian and white golfers, let's face it. Which ultimately is the supreme compliment.

The LPGA article I read on this had no reaction or comments from either Inbee or Brooke.
Brooke seems like a nice girl. I'm sure she's a bit embarrassed about the whole thing.
As for Inbee, she probably just laughed about it...if she heard about it at all.

I’m sure LPGA tricked up the vote to ensure Inbee’s win.
The whole thing is supremely foolish; LPGA is the ultimate fool.

It's a stretch but possible to imagine an alternate universe where Jin Young doesn't hit it in the water in the 2015 WBO at Turnberry. That would have given her one more major and taken one from Inbee. Then JYK would have been on the LPGA a few years earlier, too.

Brooke seems like a nice girl. I'm sure she's a bit embarrassed about the whole thing. I fully agree with this. I can literally find nothing bad to say about Brooke, she has been fantastic since before she even had status on Tour. I was actually cringing thinking about if she had won, and her having to deal with it. Which she certainly would have done in the politest most Canadian way imaginable, and deferred to Inbee's obvious greatness. So for her sake as well as the Tours i'm glad this didn't go the wrong way. But 53% is no bueno ( or Brooke in the final two ) for a Tour that wants to be taken seriously. Outsiders look at the LPGA and it's fans and say "Oh yeah, it's about the golf ( wink wink, nudge nudge), not Sexi Lexi and Muni He". And i don't think this was hijacked by mischief makers ( ie. Boatfaced). It seems that a shocking % of actual LPGA fans chose the cute girl. Confirming what alot of casual golf fans think. That's disheartening and doesn't help with the whole "being taken seriously" thing.

Would Jin Young have been ready to come over in 2016? I'm sure she would have done fine, but as it is, she really was completely prepared when she made it over here two years after that.
