Great start by So Yeon Ryu and Sei Young Kim. In the last pairing so will get some more TV time.
Jin Young Ko had several birdie chances but, they just missed. If she continue to give herself birdie chances. She should put herself in position for a weekend push.
I believe that Jeongeun Lee6 is just a little tired.

Okay, it's my new avatar now. But, really ... she needed a miracle shot to stay out of the cellar.

Mi Hyang Lee of Korea celebrates with So Yeon Ryu of Korea after making eagle on on the 18th hole during the first round of the CME Group Tour Championship at Tiburon Golf Club on November 21, 2019 in Naples, Florida. (Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images) Magnificent high five. Tiger and Steve Williams for all their many wins together never once approached anything like this.

The Rolex Awards ceremony was last night. Not that anybody would have known. I expect GC will air a half hour highlights show early Christmas morning sandwiched in between an airing of Tin Cup and another airing of Tin Cup. Since Koreans swept the awards, they probably won't even bother with that.

jumpcutDidn't Brooke Henderson win an award? Yes, she won Miss Congeniality -- excuse me, I mean the Founders Award -- voted by her peers.

Six woke up this morning! Round 1 Six and Jin Young were not at their best, although we did get to see Six putt in a birdie from off the green, so that was nice. Jin Young loked like she was thisclose to really getting going, but nothing was falling for her. Hopefully today will be different. Meanwhile, great start by So Yeon and Sei Young! Nice eagle on 17 for Sei Young, while Ryu looked really comfortable on a course she has excelled on before. Sisters hwaiting!!!!

This is pretty funny stuff from JYKo. It does sound like she says "sexy" in the audio.
I've seen a few people from the golf industrial complex say it's "amazing" or something.
Dum-dums in the GIC. Ask her PRO golf questions and you'll get PRO golf answers because BALL DON'T LIE when you average 69 on the scorecard.

Shibuno & Suzuki should have watched this speech before deciding to turn down LPGA membership.

Another great round by Sei Young Kim. The usual comeback by Jeongeun Lee6 with minus five. Jin Young just had the three birdies, no bogeys. Not a good day for So Yeon but she will have the weekend to bounce back. I didn't get to see the broadcast, forgot to record it also.

Round 2 Deja vu; it seems like a lot of the events of the past month or so have been like this. One or two Sisters in the hunt, a bunch just far enough back that they need to go really low to contend. Sei Young is obviously on point right now, and this is the kind of course she likes, so I could see her keeping it up. Good day for Jin Young and Six, both getting a post-award show bounce. So Yeon had another horror show, but luckily for her kept it even par for the day. It could have been far worse. I know we don't have any big Namdalla fans around here, but it is awfully weird that she isn't even playing well on a bombers course like this. She has really been struggling for the most part the past two months. As for the two remaining award races: Jin Young probably needs 16 or 17 under to get her scoring average under 69, but she's looking pretty good to secure the Vare even if sub-69 is unlikely. I'm worried that Henderson is poised to steal the money list title, though. Or Thompson, which would be even worse considering how lackluster she has been much of the year. Hopefully Six or Jin Young have a great weekend in them; I would love to see them play meaningful golf on Sunday. Sisters hwaiting!

Shibuno & Suzuki should have watched this speech before deciding to turn down LPGA membership. Her overwhelming look of relief and happiness at the end of this speech is one of my favorite moments of the year. Fantastic job, Jeongeun! Six Power!
