Typhoon Morgan hit Japan Sunday AM ... -6 thru seven holes and -9 overall.
Anyone know the name of the big overstuffed dude on her bag? Did some digging thru Getty Images ... he started with her at the beginning of 2009! Wow, eleven straight years, that is almost unheard of for an LPGAer these days. She could have canned him during any of her slumps or bad tournaments and no one would have given it a second thought. I remember when Pressel got fired in 2006 ... her woman looper at the Match Play dumped her bag during a practice round and walked off ... couldn't take her anymore ... "whatever."

If Suzuki wins and joins the LPGA, Shibuno will have to do a 180 on her decision and become a member too...if she still wants to be an Olympian.
Not necessarily ... if Shibuno front-loads her sked with 12 LPGA events next year (the max she can play), then she'll be a defacto LPGAer in the run-up to the Olympics. Plus, if she continues to play well, she shouldn't slip much in the world rankings since they currently include her 2018 play on Japan's Step Up tour.
Suzuki's win on Sunday is another monkey wrench thrown into Olympics, but translated articles make her out to be extremely hesitant about accepting LPGA membership in 2020. She can now play all five majors next year, although her past overseas play has been far from stellar.

Quite a dull broadcast by Japan's TBS ... the outcome was never in doubt ... I'll have to check YT to see how they celebrated. Pressel's fire went out on the back nine, I don't remember seeing her.

Ai Suzuki jumped out to a big lead and maintained it. Only one not needed birdie on the back nine. However she gave no strokes back by a bogey either. Which told the rest of the field to make birdies or eagles to catch her.
Hyo Joo Kim had a great back nine. But after dropping to nine under with a birdie on hole ten. She need to pretty much birdie the last eight holes. If Ai didn't make any mistakes.
Minus three for So Yeon and Jeongeun Lee6 gave them pocket money. But Jeongeun has, had a great year.
So Yeon's had worst year since she been on tour. One bad year happens, so looking forward to her next year. The way her game is now I don't think that she can win the CME. The course will be set up for long drivers. Her driving average has dropped to ninety six.

I'll admit I skipped this one. It looked over as soon as I checked the scores around the time the broadcast started, and I was right, so I saved myself three hours of a Ai Suzuki victory march without drama. But credit to Hyo Joo for making a nice run up the leaderboard for the ONLY top ten by a Sister this week.
Mediocre week for Jeongeun, but you can't be on fire every week. I'm a bit disappointed that Jiyai didn't bring it.
One more tournament to go, and then the REAL fun begins (i.e., LPGA vs KLPGA, baby!). Sisters hwaiting!

So you missed Ho Joo Kim incredible back nine finish. She was giving twenty or so yards off the tee to her playing competitors. It didn't bother her because like Inbee, she just played her game. But Ai Suzuki kept making pars to keep her cushion.

Yet they have Brooke Henderson listed number first. She has the lowest percentages of top ten finishes. Hyo Joo 60%, Jin Young 57% Henderson 46%
