Does anyone understand the point of the race to the CME anymore? Yes, I know that the top 60 make it into the field, but I mean, why should I care if someone finishes first, second or third? Does the winner get an advantage in the tournament? There is no longer a million bonus, but is there some other money prize? They mention it in every broadcast but never tell us why we should care.
All it says on the LPGA page is 'The player who wins the CME Group Tour Championship will be named the “Race to the CME Globe Champion.”' Whoa, big deal!

Also, is there any information yet about which KLPGA golfers will be in the field and how many? Are they chosen by 2019 KLPGA money list, 2018 KLPGA money list, world ranking, or some combo? I'm interested in knowing if Ji Hyun Oh might make it into the field, but if it depends on this year's money list, she won't.

From what I read on the LPGA website there will be 1.5 million to the winner. There is a five million purse, which leaves 3.5 million, with no explanation where that goes. Maybe the one million for the bogus AON is taken out of that. Which leaves 2.5 million which I guess the LPGA keeps. Since they don't explain how it's distributed. For a tour that been around for so long, they are more interested in Social Media. Instead of given relevant information about the Tournaments.

There are thirty one KLPGA players in the tournament, give or take one or two. Ji Hyun Oh is not in the tournament. Seung Yeon Lee is in because she won a tournament this year.

I thought that you only get 30 points for a win. Maybe fifty for a Major. Jeongeun Lee6 is 116 points behind Jin Young Ko. If that's true Jin Young has that and the CME Group race wrapped up.
Also why isn't Jeongeun Lee6 not in those promo photos.
