This tournament feels bigger than at least half the LPGA schedule.

No highlights posted yet.
Jin Young Ko had another one of her good ball striking rounds. She was a little off on her putting with two three putts. Still positioned herself for the weekend, two strokes off the lead.
Young Seung Yeon Lee is having a rough time of it lately. Hopefully she will turn it around with a good finish to the year.
I like the way they set the par fours up, with the front pin locations. It forced you to hit the fairway to get near the pin. Hitting from the rough your ball would run to the back of the green.
The par five seven was a real risk reward hole. Sung Hyun Park took the risk by going for the green in two. She hit it right in the woods for a lost ball. She ended with triple bogey on the hole.

I tuned in about an hour ago ... WTF is going on, these players can't do anything ... the weather is perfectly calm and The New Ko just went into the lead at #17 at -3. Sung Hung took a drop from a babbling brook at the par-5 18th following her second shot, pitched on for her 4th and two-putted for a smooth 79. You can forget about the LPGA ever playing this golf course.
Sky Kim one shot off the lead?!

Jin Young missed only one green, another round of great ball striking. While all the other golfers were making birdies and bogeys. She just kept making pars until she took the lead with a birdie on seventeen. It was hard to get close to the pin, so she had only about three legit birdie attempts.
Great round by Ha Neul Kim of sixty eight. She had the only round in the sixties. She had a good score going in the third round also. But a triple bogey on hole thirteen and bogeys on seventeen and eighteen hurt.
Hye Jin Choi started out missing greens and making pars first six holes. Then she made birdie on seven and eight to get to minus three. Her ball striking got better but she was unable to make another birdie. Then she hit into the water on par three sixteen and made a double bogey.
I wonder if Sung Hyun Park going for the par fives in two, was for her fans. The par fives are not like the LPGA with bailouts left and right. If you miss those par fives, a hazard or woods come into play.
No highlights for round two and three posted yet.

Round 4
It was a tense battle most of the day, with Haeran Ryu and So Mi Lee among those who reached 3 under and a tie with Jin Young Ko. But neither of them could stay there, and Jin Young claimed her sponsor's title with a final round 72. Drink up!

Jin Young is the queen of golf. (Ha Neul is still the queen of hearts.)
I checked golfchannel.com to see if they would make a little peep about the world number one winning another tournament (that also featured the #2 in the world). Nope. Instead got treated to a long-form "life begins at 30" piece to commemorate Michelle's birthday. She's coming back! Only this time with newly mature perspective on life, or some shit like that.

Another great win by Jin Young Ko. She showed how you can win a tournament with only a two birdie weekend. By making only one bogey. The other players had lots of birdies but also lots of bogeys. Her iron play was not sharp in the final round. Most of her approach shots were a long way from the hole. But she stayed focused and had only one three putt. However she hit solid approach shots on seventeen and eighteen.
Hae Ran Ryu had birdie chances, but no luck on making them. Her frustration showed on eighteen when she three putted.
I am so glad that Hee Won Na didn't win. Because in the third round on the par three number two. She hit her tee shot right of the green into the water. It flew directly into the water never touching the ground. She talked the Official in letting her drop on the fringe. Which was an illegal drop.
Hye Jin Choi play has been a struggle lately. It has not been bad, just not Hye Jin worthy.
