the more i think about it. Home of Golf, wasn't supposed to be on team, preventing the threepeat, huge crowds, last hole, last shot to win a team event... If she sticks to it, this is an Elway Quality exit.
She showed nothing during LPGA events this year, so maybe she thinks that's not coming back.

The entire event was worth watching for Altomare's putting.

Is this the first time that the entire losing team didn't show up for the official post-tournament press conference? Just three players -- the Korda's and Lizette -- were there.
Even in 2015 -- the year of Gimmegate -- the whole Euro team showed up and answered all the uncomfortable questions put to them.
Bad form for the Americans who didn't show up.

The interview table was small. When the Euro's were in there after winning most of the players were standing up behind. It was a great US team this year IMO.

Looks like no trip to 1600 for Team USA.

Megan Khang pulled a Dame Davies on 17 not giving Charley Hull a 1 footer.
Hull went on to make a mess of 18. Well played, rookie.

I hear what you're saying, but it would have been nice for the press to be able to ask a few questions of Lexi, Kang, Park et al. If the Euros can stand behind the table for ten minutes and pass the mic, I dont see why the Americans couldn't. So articles end up being written about Lexi with no input from Lexi herself, like this one. www.golfchannel.com/news/lexi-thompson-struggles-step-us-solheim-cup-lossNo one's asking Lexi or the others to go all Phil Mickleson on the Solheim. Just a few words post-round on how they think it all went. The way it's always been done at the Ryder & Solheim.

That was unexpected! I thought after Megan Khang managed the half-point, the Americans would find a way to scratch out one more half-point. But Suzann Pettersen saves the day for the Europeans. I was shocked to hear she's retiring from competitive golf. Best European LPGAer after Annika hung it up.

I agree it would have been nice to hear from more Americans but without knowing the circumstances. The UK reporters are just looking for a reason to be offended anyway.

This will be remembered for Pettersen’s finish but is was as much Bronte Law’s doing at the end.

My reverse karma is so bad, I scare myself. I got everything and and everyone backwards. It also looks like the Pressel Insurance Co. went bankrupt a few years ago.
Someone posted an idea on GolfWrx for a hypothetical Parsons Cup (USA vs. ROK). Yes, a free-spending egomaniac could make this work...just has to prod the USA team to come out of hiding.
We out-Asianed the Euros 4 to 1 and still couldn't win.

Beth Ann had awesome coverage of this on twitter feed. I think she wrote the word rookie 500 times.
One day someone will do the actual math on Rookies vs Vets in this thing.

We out-Asianed the Euros 4 to 1 and still couldn't win. Celine (4) matched the combined win totals of Angel (2), Annie (1), Danielle (1) and Megan (0). Celine's short game is unmatchable; probably better than In Gee or Lydia in their prime.
