Shugo Imahira has his trophy looper fiancée on his bag at this week's Shinhan Donghae Open in Incheon. She was with him at the Masters in April for the Par 3 contest, I think.
He's pretty good...tied for first with a 66 (-5) on Thursday and is 1st on the Japan tour in scoring average (69.59)...chokes down on all his clubs like the ECP.

(I finished in 18:07 btw, how about you? Got a little stuck in the upper left corner. Didn't know the word ASPER, took a while to figure out what has teeth but doesn't bite, and the spelling of "IZAAK" caused some problems as well) I got AS PER for "in line with" pretty quickly and the upper right quadrant was a breeze...I thought the whole thing would fall in place in record time. Not to be. I entered THREE MUSKETEERS (which fit) and didn't consider 3 MUSKETEERS BARS until it was obvious. I had to put it down and probably won't get back to it until tonight but you'll beat my time for sure. Another LPGA clue today in NYT crosswords. "30-down: _____ Ko, youngest player to be ranked #1 in professional golf." I won't spoil it for you all.

Now we just need to get him over here so he can produce some real Saturday stumpers. For 12D "Influential social media users" I tried SEOULSISTERS but it was 2 letters too long. One can only wish...

Nelly might have her second Sunday gagathon this month...oh I forgot, there are no Koreans chasing her in France...forget what I said.

That ace during the practice round was no fluke. Kelly shot a 62 (-10) today -- 1 eagle, 8 birdies, no bogeys -- to take a 3-shot lead going into Sunday. My reverse karma is working perfectly. After calling both KT & RLB longshots, they each turned in scorching performances ahead of Stage Two. https://www.instagram.com/p/B2slGDBnLmr

No, but there are 2 Frenchwomen chasing her hoping to win their national open, so the analogy still applies. I was wondering where Nobuhle Dlamini was up to. The top golfer from E-Swatini, formerly Swaziland - heck, she's likely the only golfer from that tiny southern African kingdom - is now a pro and won the Joburg Ladies Open back in May. I guess the next rung on the ladder is the LET.Kevin

The latest book came out Thursday. Do you hit your driver OB? If so, read this book and you'll hit it like Shibuno.

Golf Digest Korea has an ongoing video series of a golf match pitting A Lim Kim against Ji Young Park. It's in Korean, but pretty easy to follow. Here are the first few episodes; possibly more to come?
Episode 1 (warm up)
Episode 2/Hole 1
Episode 3
Episode 4
