Is Muni's clothing sponsor Lululemon? It looks like she's wearing yoga pants. Please. Such a sensational pairing would surely have become common knowledge within minutes of the contract ink drying.

Kelly Tan has been quietly taking advantage of her opportunities on the big tour. She went -4 on today's round and sits T26 for the tournament. Especially impressive since she was on the bad side of of the early-round draw and hit the worst of the weather in R2.
KT has now made the weekend in 3 of her 4 LPGA starts, missing the cut by just one shot at the Dow. I totally blame her team partner for that.

LPGA pros caught in nasty weather question fairness at Ladies Scottish Open www.golfchannel.com/news/lpga-pros-caught-nasty-weather-question-fairness-ladies-scottish-openThe LPGA reported that twice as many players in the late/early draw missed the cut (57/28). The late/early wave played to a 73.462 scoring average through 36 holes, more than three strokes higher than the early/late wave (70.24). The severe difference in conditions frustrated players and caddies who wondered about the fairness of the competition. “I can’t comprehend this, yet I can because I played in it,” Kim Kaufman tweeted after she missed the cut by a single shot playing in the worst of the weather. “The Scottish Open was wonderful but the integrity of this competition is questionable.”

It's not the first time that it will happen and not the last time.
Anyway Jeongeun Lee had another great day, with better scoring back nine. MJ Hur hung in there minus two, only one shot off the lead. Mi-Hyang still in the hunt at four off the lead.
Youngin had a mixed round five bogeys and three birdies. But she has a chance to have a good round and make more money. Just keep making birdies and less bogeys.

Tiffany Joh posted over her embarrassment of missing the cut after playing in the early/late wave.
Moriya won last year in L.A. after leading through three rounds and paired with two Koreans on Sunday. Can lightning strike twice?

This was not KK's first time at the rodeo...I can't believe she made such a bush league statement.

Per Accuweather.com, Sunday's weather says a thunderstorm at 6 AM, rain at 8 AM, rain at 11 AM and rain at 5 & 6 PM. No split tees on Sunday and the last group starts at 11:10 AM.

I have an unproven theory on why MHL so amazing: she is built like a small Gordie Howe.
Old-time hockey "experts" say Gordie's broad sloped shoulders made him an especially dangerous fighter (during the few times someone was dumb enough to fight him). As for Mi Hyang, her shoulders are "out of the way", which might explain why she turns them about 120 degrees with the driver at the top of her backswing.

Round 3 Great day by Lucky Six! She had her share of great irons, like her approach on 18, and backed that up with some long bomb birdie putts and nice par saves. If she can keep that up she has a great chance to claim this one tomorrow. MJ Hur was not as solid, but is right in the thick of this going into Sunday and the final group pairing with Lee6 and Moriya. Don't count Mi Hyang out, either; she can come back from this, especially if the weather is as bad Sunday as they say it will be. Sisters hwaiting!!!

Your theory makes a lot of sense actually. It's amazing how MHL can make a hooded sweater and yellow rain pants so adorable.

Great win by MJ Hur, it's been a long time since she contended. Great final round in those conditions.
Jeongeun Lee6 couldn't get anything going However second place tie and minus sixteen is pretty good.
Kudos to Mi-Hyang Lee for top a five finish.
Muni Hee and Youngin Chun had their worst round of the tournament. They made a little money, every little bit helps.

Great job, MJ! I witnessed her maiden victory at Pumpkin Ridge 10 years ago. I hope she doesn't wait another five years to win her next one.

Annie Park read my earlier post on kicking butt this week...which she did...I assume a T-20 finish will push her past Austin Ernst for the 10th Solheim spot...and on to Canada to settle this fight.

MHL's third top-10 matches her total from 2018. Looking ahead, she has three weeks off between Portland and Indianapolis...maybe she'll get in some KLPGA slumming around the Chuseok holiday (Sept. 12-14).
