It isn't Maria Fassi fault that they made her the focus of the LPGA. They are so desperate for anyone but a Korean golfer to be the Face of the LPGA. It's a shame but that's how it is and probably will always be that way. Even the Commissioner doesn't give them any recognition.
By the way my other favorite Mamiko Higa missed her second cut in a row.

No comment about why so many great players missed the cut. Ok I know, bad bounce Thompson made the cut. So no explanation needed.

Both Jin Young and Jeongeun Lee had slow starts. But they had good finishes, so still in the hunt.
Looks like In Gee Chun who shot three over par. Will make the cut on the number.

The Flying Dumbos were reduced to hoping that Sarah Schmelzel bogies her final hole so that In Gee could make the cut on the number. In Bee, So Yeon, Shan Shan, Eun-Hi, Nasa, Yang, Lydia, Stacy, Kerr, Hye-Jin...so many "stars" missing the cut for the 2nd week in a row. Six of the Top 20! Eight of the Top 24!! Even more than last week! Never happens! It's insane! Right, tonyj500 ?

Lizette, the Anti-Lexi, in the lead. Every time I log onto Facebook (I know, I'm old) they suggest I join the FB group "Lexi's Loyal Legions." WTF?! Wow, they'd better tweak that algorithm a little more!

Clearly you aren't a Flying Dumbo; and you couldn't care less about the pains we went through. In Gee moved to T65 when Mariajo Uribe tripled #14 and moved to T64 when Sarah Schmelzel bogeyed both #14 and #15. By the way, Sarah parred her final hole. There you have it; Mariajo is the true Angel of the Day!

Nice article about Jin Young's second roundJin Young is fast becoming my favorite player on tour. I loved her interview with Foltz after her second round. I read another article where she apparently got some blowback in Korea for chewing gum on the back nine at Evian, and for admitting she liked Koepka. Her reaction? 'Whatever, can't please everyone'. That's AWESOME. (In Gee would probably enter into therapy if that happened to her. I love In Gee, but you know it's true). Jin Young Round 2 interview

Round 2 Jin Young was a bit unfocused to start her day (she admitted as much), but a friendly wager with her caddie caused her to shake it off and finish well. Especially impressive was a nice twenty foot par save on the last hole to preserve her 6 under spot. Sung Hyun and Jeongeun Lee 6 are also well positioned to make a run. Right now virtual unknown Ashley Buhai has a three shot lead, but there is no reason to believe she can keep it up. IK Kim also is hanging in there and has an outside chance at something special. Sei Young Kim looked like she might be up there as well, but struggled coming in. It's interesting that the Sisters seem to do better on the links courses in the UK than the more traditional ones. I'm sure they must've won a British Open at a parkland course, but every one I can recall seemed to have been links. In Gee barely made the cut, but So Yeon is going home early. Inbee and Hye Jin also had surprise early exits. I bet Hye Jin returns home and immediately wins the next KLPGA event she plays. Sisters hwaiting!!!

So Yeon is not going home early. Knowing So Yeon she is going to stay there and practice. Either that or go to the next Tournament site and practice. She will not accept missing cuts, so she will bounce back.

That's AWESOME. Jin young has really grown mentally since the start of her Rookie season. A lot of credit for that has to go to her young Manager. She always helped her when she noticed that Jin Young seemed down. At least that what I noticed when I followed her.

Clearly you aren't a Flying Dumbo; and you couldn't care less about the pains we went through. All true, I'm afraid. But I like In Gee and I'm glad she made the cut, however she squeaked in. Hope she has a great weekend.
