Great win for Sei Young Kim. Great final round to hold off the par five Queen.
Jeongeun Lee couldn't get anything going, as far as a low score. Still a solo fourth is pretty darn good.
Youngin Chun just missed out on a top ten, tied for eleventh place. Had a chance but bogeys on sixteen and seventeen hurt her. But like a trooper, she birdied eighteen. Also her first time without an over par round. She is making progress.

I decided to enjoy the sunshine and missed Sei Young's birdie streak that put this in the bag. Lexi bombing the last two holes wasn't enough to catch Sei Young who moves out of of tie with Peanut and into a tie with Na Yeon Choi to equal 4 in number of tour victories for a Korean at 9.
Tiffany Joh captured her second top 5 in a row.

"Everybody's shouting 'Lexi! Lexi!.' She's got a lot of boosters...it's a little scary." Hey, Seoulsisters is the place to see and be seen for the real in-depth scoop and unfiltered analysis! 1700 views on the Marathon thread, compared with only 1200 on the WRX thread. The people have spoken.

Sei Young Kim is 26 and has 9 wins. Justin Thomas has 9 by 26 also.
Is Sei Young the “best golfer without a major” or is 26 too young for the label?

6s caddy at the US Open was an Australian - and he starts work with Su Oh at Evian
OK. It looked like she still had the same caddie, Adam Woodward, on the bag this week. Curious why 6ix and he are splitting.

Quick, name the only player who improved her score every day. A: Erica Shepherd. I laid out a trail of bread crumbs earlier in the week, but the GIC knuckleheads couldn't find it. There was one alert person in the Toledo media:

At 0:14 of the above video, we're told that "Cy Young Kim" is one of the great names in contention. I like that.

These interviewers are something else. She was asking Sei Young about Thompson trying to quite her fans. The question should have been about how she maintained her focus. With all the loud USA,USA and Lexi, Lexi chants. She answered that it was a scary situation for her, but she regained her focus. She said that I fear.

If ever there was a time for a follow up question that was it. Was she fearful of the crowd? I didn't see the broadcast. A scattering of light hearted USA chants are OK, I guess - this isn't supposed to be the Ryder Cup either, but that's the type of thing that could go too far quickly. I do notice way more chuds on LPGA social media comments saying the quite part out loud about what they think of foreign players on the LPGA. Especially after Haney's comments.

Round 4 Congrats to Sei Young Kim! Nine wins already; that's pretty amazing. Who cares if she doesn't have a Major yet; she's going to get one sooner or later. That run she had in the middle, three irons within a couple of feet of the hole; man, she deserved it after that! It really wasn't close, but Thompson almost took advantage of her one strength to make it interesting. Pretty annoying that she eagled the 18th two days in a row, but in the end it still wasn't enough. Nice final day for So Yeon Ryu. Meanwhile, Six wasn't at her best, but still managed a few nice highlights, including a nice final hole, and secured a tidy 4th place. No offense to Kupcho, but now I understand why the media is focusing on the runner-up at the ANWA, even if she isn't American. Kupcho is so vanilla she makes Bethany Lang seem like Snoop Dog. Nice week for her regardless. Youngin Chun kicked butt til the end! Alas, if she could have just parred 17, she would be going to the British. I wonder if she knew? Still, just missed a top ten, and should have earned a ton of nice experience and confidence. Sisters hwaiting!!

This is the second time tonight I saw the Cy Young award - and the second time in my life! Tonight's ESPN broadcast of the Dodgers-Phillies game showed the trophies awarded to Steve Carlton and the commentator complained the trophy was right-handed!

I don't think Adam was there - Su took her father instead because Adam couldn't make it.

No, I meant 6ix still had Adam on her bag. If Su is going to use Adam at Evian, he's still with 6ix at this point.
