Yes... Youngin is adorable and gave a really good first interview. She really like making birdies, but sometimes pars are ok too.
So Yeon fell to plus four, but made birdie on seventeen and eighteen to finish plus two. There's hope, if she can stay away from the bogeys and keep making birdies.

Youngin (-7) is grouped with Kelly (-2) and Jimin (+3) the first two days. Those two might get some peripheral TV time if Youngin continues her birdiefest tomorrow.
Although GC did a pretty good job of erasing any evidence of Presley Cornelius when she was paired with Yealimi last week.

Round 1 Great first day by Youngin Chun, her career best score by three shots! (a 64 by the way). Who knows if she'll be able to hang in all week, but I'm hoping she can notch her first career top ten. I would love to see more interviews with her! Jeongeun Lee 6 had a nice recovery after her first missed cut last week, a 66. I hope she will get beaucoup coverage tomorrow. Meanwhile, Yealimi Noh got all of one shot that I saw today. Just a 73 today, alas, but still has a shot at another cut made if she can right the ship Friday. Nice start by Sei Young (67), but So Yeon played horribly, willing a 73 after it looked like she was heading for 4 over or worse. Sisters hwaiting!!!

She's finished (today's round, I mean -- not metaphorically). Two over the current cut line. Maybe at her press conference next week, all the questions won't be a variation of "What's it like to live your fabulous life?"

Ready to set up a pool? How many missed cuts for Fassi before they stop inviting her to give pre tournament press conferences? I think at least five.

So Yeon is not looking good for the weekend. Thanks to a birdie on the last hole after a three putt bogey on seventh hole. At Plus one she has a slight chance to make the weekend. She makes a decent amount of birdies, just too many bogeys.

@happyfan you'll be happy to know that 6ix finally got her Rookie Spotlight today on GC's coverage.
The in-booth guest interviewed by Karen & Grant was...Maria Fassi.
KT comfortably made it into her 2nd weekend in a row. She likes this course, previously had a T4 here in 2014.

Mi Hyang is a WD after shooting 69 on Thursday. Did she play at all on Friday? The LPGA Twitter feed says she had an injury.

I guess that birdie on eighteen was huge for So Yeon. She gets to play the weekend.
Sei Young Kim -11 and Jeongeun Lee -10 should be paired on the weekend. Unless the LPGA find a way to separate them.
Love Youngin Chun play so far even thou she was only minus one. She dropped to minus six after a bogey on eleven. But she came back with two birdies to finish at minus eight. Her best two round finishes.

Round 2 Great day again for Lucky Six. And how appropriate that she has now shot -- wait for it -- back to back 66s. That has got to be an omen! She even finally got her rookie profile. This could be her week to shine! Sei Young Kim produced a brilliant 64 to move into the lead, meaning Six and Syk will be paired tomorrow. Great day also for Youngin. The mere fact that she held her own and maintained a position on the leaderboard is a major step forward for her. Now let's see if she can keep it up on Saturday. I miss Klinger. He really gave this tournament a lot more flare. So Yeon squeaked into the weekend. Good time for her to work on her game in prep for the upcoming Majors. Sister hwaiting!!
