The link above 20 pics from Round One with 90% accuracy...they think SS Feng is Amy Yang and Dani Holmqvist is Jenny Haglund. I think they're blocked from being posted elsewhere.
One pic they got right was Erynne Lee, which reminds me of this year's ShopRite/Acer. An LPGA(?) person took a brief video of her between the practice green and the pro shop. They needed at least three takes for her to say something like, "Hello, I Erynne Lee and I'm from Silverdale, Washington. I was a two-time All-American at UCLA and my nickname is xxxxx (garbled)." Maybe this is a file video for future use by Golf Channel? In that case, it may never see the light of day. She finished 2018 with 16-straight trunk slams and did the same at ShopRite in 2019.

current leader, Mina Harigae is the only japanese american on LPGA, was runner-up at the taylormade pebble beach invitational last Nov. where the competion is between men from PGA tour, Champions tour, Web tour and ladies from LPGA. they play the four major courses at pebble beach. A ten year veteran of the LPGA she had a stellar amateur career at Duke and has made major changes in her golf game a few years ago and has greatly improve her scores. http://instagr.am/p/BzfsB3rFzHp

Rookie play-by-play man George Savaricas is alternating between pronouncing Mina's last name as either "Hari-gay" or "Hari-guy." So he's only wrong half the time.

I had several thoughts running through my head, after Jeongeun Lee6 missed cut. None worth writing about.
However Youngin Chun had the best round of her young career. A five birdies no bogey round. She missed only three fairways and two greens. I don't know if she can keep it going. But she know that she can have rounds like that. Not just the birdies, but keeping the big numbers off the card.

Dr. Noh's playing partner Presley Cornelius (great name btw) took 71 more shots than her over two days. Makes that -16 even more impressive. There had to be a ton of waiting around.
Speaking of playing partners, Kelly Tan is paired with Sei Young tomorrow...maybe some of that Bad@$$ style will rub off on her.

Quite impressive by Dr. Noh to stay patient. The cut-line went to -4 at the last minute. What's it like to shoot 6-under for a round and miss the cut? Ask Ashleigh Buhai. I won't be surprised if we see a record-breaking score after this ends.

Wow, someone failed to break 90 on the LPGA, then failed to break 100 the next day. Not a good look.

In all fairness, she was a sponsor invite and appears to be an indigenous member of the Oneida Nation. oneida-nsn.gov/blog/2019/07/03/oneidas-own-presley-cornelius-set-to-compete-in-thornberry-creek-lpga-classic/I have no issue with it whatsoever. I'll bet more people in her community were inspired by her (no matter her score) than there are guys jawboning about it here and on wrx.

Speaking of WRX is looks like Args is in Green Bay this week. He’s got a lot of pics up. My guess is that he was in town to see the Packer HOF at Lambeau.

I didn't pay any attention to Presley Cornelius. Was she paired with an LPGA golfer that had to endure that. I thought they had Pro-Am to accommodate their Sponsors and guest. I totally agree that she should not have been put in the tournament.

I totally agree that she should not have been put in the tournament. Someone above said that she was paired with Yealimi Noh, which would make sense. I have no idea how to find even basic tournament info like that on the LPGA's useless page about the tournament. Anyways, if it's true, what an amazing testament to Yealimi's mental prowess! Sponsor's exemptions should still be required to have some level of golf competence. I don't want to start seeing sponsors putting the CEO's daughter into the field for kicks. She should have been quietly removed from the tournament after that 96.

Round 2 Sigh. I had a bad feeling the other night that as soon as I predicted Lucky Six was going to have a good second round, that in fact she was going to tank and miss her first cut of the year. Alas, that happened. Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. But I know she's awesome, and she'll be back soon to start kicking butt again. And that's a prediction I'm not shy to make! (as to why she played so poorly, it's obscure. None of her stats explain it. I guess she must have just not made any of the putts she needed to. These kind of events become all about making the putts). The only storyline that is keeping this interesting is Yealimi Noh's improbable run to the title. Even on this course, a 16 under two day total is something else. Namdalla is also making everything in sight right now, and even she is barely holding Yealimi back. Uh, that's about it. I suppose it's cool that Youngin Chun made her second cut of the year with a 67. The other notable score is the 105 shot by the sponsor's exemption. That has to be the worst score I've ever seen in an LPGA event, and it came on arguably the easiest course they've ever played. Good luck Yealimi! Hwaiting!

The real question is how does Nat Nat (Rolex #879) keep getting these invites? She hasn't made a cut in ages.
I dunno, I don't get exercised about stuff like this. The casual viewer on GC had no idea she was even in the event, even though they were closely following her playing partner Yealimi.
Apparantly Yealimi wasn't bothered by it either. She seems pretty mature for 17.
But I'd have no problem if they paired any future ringer with Stacy...THAT might be worth televising!
