I like the point system but to require either a major, Vare or Player of the Year award is silly.

Leave it the way it is. It is the Hall Of Fame, not a popularity contest. If Inbee can make than it's doable. Only the best should be in it.

The LPGA, in my opinion should keep the point system. The Hall of Fame should not be voted on under any circumstance. Lorena Ochoa only had to play a few tournaments to be eligible. She chose not to, so it's her choice, she knew the Rules.
Using baseball is not a good example. There are players that should be in but are not voted in.
