FWIW On the latest State of the Game podcast Clayton mentioned that he talked to her about those comments and that she regretted saying it. I take that to me she thinks she was wrong. Well, tonight at 7:30pm ET on GC -- as she's giving her induction acceptance speech -- would be a great time to say that publicly.

Maybe she now thinks she was wrong. But I do know that when she was playing in a women's senior event about five years ago, she said something like "so many people come up to me and tell me I was right about my comments." She seemed pretty proud that she had 'gotten it right'. So maybe she's spinning it again, but I'm not entirely buying it. I missed the Volpe era. You never really know anybody but I think if you watch enough golf you kind of get an idea what's under the hood.

And she used to bang Trump like 50 years ago. How awesomely perfect.

Wait… so she made the Hall because the LPGA veterans committee voted her in, and not through points, right? That's even sadder...
It would be cool if Minjee Lee said something about this, but she doesn't seem the type to rock the boat...

She won 3 majors and a couple dozen events. I’d be surprised if there were any men still out of the HOF with that record.

I watched the DVR of her speech. No apologies, but she did give a shoutout to Se Ri (and Webby) saying she was glad she got to see the beginning of their careers.

How is the World Golf Hall of Fame chosen? I'm pretty glad it wasn't the LPGA vets who put her in there.

I am curious if they would vote Jiyai Shin or Uri Fudoh in when they turn fifty.

The LPGA has a veteran's committee, and then can choose to put someone in the LPGA Hall of Fame even if they don't otherwise qualify. I think they wanted to do that with Laura Davies and she refused, saying she wanted to earn her way in (is she in by now or is she still refusing?).
Anyways, I'm glad that they weren't the ones who put in the Hall, that it was the World Golf Hall instead.
