Expect all the big names to be here as they're playing for the same amount of money as last week's Salonpas major. It starts Friday at Fukuoka CC, about a 1 hr. 50 min. flight W/SW from Tokyo.
The Sunday May 19 round should be viewable here at 3:30 PM (Japan time):
Other broadcasts for Fri. and Sat. could be on Youtube via this search:
ほけんの窓口レディース
The JLPGA and/or their various broadcasters are really cracking down on Youtube posters lately.

The link above just kicked in at 9:30 PM EST for Round Two. Rei Matsuda and Ritsuko Ryu played lousy in Round One and dropped out.

Now I'm going to test your street cred. Did you ever see Riko Higashio? I did...at the range on pro-am day of the 2007 Sybase. From The Archives:
The most interesting drill I saw was by Riko Higashio. After teeing up a ball for her driver, she put her umbrella down to align her feet. Then she placed a standing half-liter water bottle ahead of the ball and slightly to the right. Then she stood up another water bottle further ahead and slightly to the left. So, her target line was parallel with her umbrella and between the water bottles. Needless to say, she didn’t hit the bottles with the club or the ball. Unfortunately, she still finished dead last after two rounds.
I looked up her scoring average stats at lpga.com. She had a decent rookie year in 2004 (72.696, 74th out of 146), but got worse in 2005 (#99 at 73.797) and missed all of 2006 with shoulder surgery. Maybe the operation wasn't so good, because she stunk in 2007, finished DFL at 78.774. She was off the tour after that. I seem to recall Judy Rankin saying on a broadcast that Riko broke both ankles chasing after a subway in Tokyo during her younger days.

Sharon just made about a 7-foot par-saver at #10, keeps her within the cut line at +1. This has to be her best week-to-week performance as a pro in many years. She's playing with Phoebe Yao who birdied #10 and is now -3.

The link below might have the regular Round Two broadcast on Sat. at 4 PM (Japan time)...not sure:
aqstream.com/jp/tbs/TBS
The cut has slipped to +2...Shin Ae Ahn is also there with a T-46 finish...probably good enough to play Sunday.
After opening with 76, Ai Suzuki is torching the place...-8 thru 16 holes and -4 overall. Is this Hikari Fujita's bum elbow? At +5, she'll need a crazy finish to make the cut.

Just when you think Shiho Oyama is done like dinner, she finishes with birdies on #4 thru #7 to make the cut on the nose at -2...couldn't find any pics of her, but then nobody expected her to do anything.

Hikari Fujita missed the cut.. but the 2nd round was 4 birdies and 4 bogeys and her longest drive was 267 yards. last year she could not hold a drinking glass with her left hand, much less swing a golf club. her recent instagram after this tournament reports the missed cut but no new problems with her surgery repaired arm. i still have a video of her classic win at the Fujisankei a few years ago... http://instagram.com/p/BxmHy9oF6w-

The regular broadcast for Round Three froze two seconds after it started, so I went back to sleep. It's on YouTube (for now):
Check out the school kids' portraits of the players at 40:19 thru 40:33 (above). Sky Kim found herself here:
Bo Mee Lee was a popular choice (last photo in collection):
