I wonder if they have addressed that problem with the spectator logjam at the tunnel that leads to the back nine. Pajaree Anannarukarn and Louise Ridderstrom shot 68s to Monday qualify.

Anyone know what makes the 6th hole especially difficult? It seems like there is a high percentage of bogies and doubles on that hole.

Why the change Toney, are you moving up to the Media high Echelon. Good catch. You are the first person to notice. Actually I had trouble signing in under my old name. Had to create new one.

Round 1
This day is a good example why I never take Korean success for granted. They've had a great year so far, but after round 1, only one of them is in the top 18.
Inbee likes this course, and she had a pretty good day today, shoooting -3. So Yeon also toughed out a good round, 71, joining Jin Young. They may not be on the top of the leaderboard, but that's three great players in the hunt. Hopefully they can move up tomorrow.
A bunch of Sisters managed even par, including In Gee, Inky and Mirim Lee, so there's another possible source of fire power tomorrow.
Youngin had a good round today; she was actually even par other than one double, but still has a decent shot at making the cut.
On the other end, Sung Hyun Park imploded and will have to work hard to make the cut.
Keep Hwaiting!

I am glad you posted pictures of So Yeon because she wasn't on the broadcast. Unless they showed her the last thirty minutes, because I stopped watching it.
Jin Young last two putting rounds was 35 last tournament and 33 first round. So when she straighten that out she will start climbing the leaderboard. Not sure what to expect from So Yeon, hope that it's good.

So Yeon was one over the first fifteen holes. Being So Yeon, she turned it around and birdied the last three holes. She is at minus three going into the weekend with a chance for a great finish.
Jin Young Ko only managed another minus one round, for minus two. But not out of it with a great weekend as well.

Wilshire seems to be separating the pretenders from the contenders. Many numbers in the mid 70's to go w/ a few rounds in the 60's. 66 from Pressel. Wow.

M J Hur had a nine birdie round with seven on her first nine holes. But had two bogeys a double bogey with two birdies on her back nine. Still a five under round of sixty six was a great round. She went from a first round three over to finish two under.

Since ANA is unhappy with the 42% drop in TV ratings, Whan should let them out of their contract and just make the LA Open a major.
It's got it all.
