This is nice; In Gee's first score is a birdie, not a double.
However, without seeing her, there's always a quadruple lurking in the back of my mind.

Christmas doesn't come early; In Gee quickly bogeyed to erase her birdie.
Winds picked up; in the teens.

I really didn't want to try twenty seven holes again. But twosomes make it very hard to follow everybody I wanted to. Leave it to the LPGA to mess thing up for fans.
I agree completely, threesomes are much better for us fans who attend tournaments. But no, we are told that is the women's "Masters", so we must send everyone out in pairs. Some "Masters" - they only have one player (Higa) from a foreign tour ... I guess they figure the LPGA is already filled up with foreigners, so why strain ourselves to get more of them.
Lewis giving this event the respect it's due.
Fetch, Leo!

Correction from earlier comment: Higa is not the only foreign tour player here...I just saw JY Shin on the leaderboard.
*********
Holy Crap, MHL is tied for the lead at -3 thru 12...GC might be FORCED to show her at 7 PM, instead of the Usual Suspects. I'm starting dinner now.
73, +1 ... not the same magic as last year? I think J. Song will have to wait for that first win (again).

HYO JOO KIM'S REJUVENATION OF HER GAMEKim finished T5 at the HSBC Women’s World Championship, T10 at the Bank of Hope Founder’s Cup, and T7 at the Kia Classic last week. Her last stretch of top 10s were at the same three events in 2015, with a T8 at the HSBC Women’s World Championship, a victory at the then JTBC Founder’s Cup, and T6 at the Kia Classic.

Anybody see what happened to Sei Young Kim on 18? Did she hit a shot into Poppie's Pond?
I'm glad to see another Kim, Hyo Joo, play so well. She looked done only a year ago.

Of all the groups that teed off number ten while I waited for So Yeon to tee off. Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Haeji Kang was the only pair with zero fans following them So Yeon started with a birdie on number ten her first hole....jinx She was playing pretty good except for a little bad luck after that for a few holes. Like balls just rolling over the green or just going into the rough off the fairway. She did have four of what you would call bad drives. On the front nine her back nine she had maybe three of what you would consider birdie putts. But didn't make any. Her only bogey on the back nine, hole number three was a three putt. She got really annoyed at herself, walking off the green. That put her three over, and she remained there. In the wind she didn't play that great and is three over. Thirty two putts didn't help either. That's not all that bad.
I ran into Jeongeun Lee6 practicing putting after the round. Her Manager introduced me to her and told her that I followed her play on the KLPGA tour. Also through her manager I told her that I watched the round that she shot sixty.
There sure were a lot of Sung Hyun Park young fans out there. Sung Hyun made one great birdie on her first hole. She must have hit a tree off the tee right, she was in the rough about two hundred yards out. She hit her second shot within twenty feet from the hole, made birdie. I told the people standing there, that's why she is number one on tour.

MHL (-2) gets the first tee time on Friday ... maybe she'll have freshly manicured greens to putt on.

LPGA player is latest to take penalty due to Rules of Golf changeSei Young Kim took a 10 on the par-5 18th after hitting two shots into the water. But after one of the water shots, Kim dropped the ball from shoulder height, which was allowed before Jan. 1. But since Jan. 1, players are supposed to drop from knee height. Because she didn’t catch the mistake before she hit her next shot, the mistake produced a one-shot penalty for Kim. The 10 was part of a 6-over 78.

Go MHL. I saw that she was treated by "sunbae" Jiyai Shin to some pho noodles last night.
