I hope someday Inky will be in this photo! Speaking of Inky, where's Sun Young Yoo? According to the LPGA tour Instagram, Sun Young Yoo is standing between Amy Alcott and Pat Hurst in the back right. Doesn't look like her to me, but that's what they claim. https://www.instagram.com/p/BvxUG6KgoJc

THE ALL-ROUND TEST OF GOLF AT MISSION HILLS THAT PLAYERS WILL FACE IN THIS WEEK’S ANA INSPIRATIONPlaying further to Lincicome's strengths is the fact that the Dinah Shore Tournament Course has been stretched by just over 70 yards since last year. "It's fantastic," she smiled. "They've lengthened three holes (three, four and 15), and I'm hoping they play it as far back as possible. The rough is thick too, and I'm probably playing the yellow ball again this week so maybe it will be easier to find in the rough. The greens - they are already running at 12 and a half. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like on Sunday. That's how it should be: firm and fast and the harder the better. It's a major. Whoever wins this week is going to have played the best and hit the most fairways and greens for sure."

KORDA AND RYU SET SIGHTS ON POPPIE'S PONDRyu, 28, does everything with a calm grace. She burst on the scene with a victory over Hee Kyung Seo at the 2011 U.S. Women’s Open, making a six-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole to force a playoff then winning with a birdie on the third extra hole. She’s off to a slow start this year, missing the cut at last week’s Kia Classic for only the sixth time in 171 career starts, after finishing T- 29 and T-26 in Thailand and Singapore. “I wasn't really happy with the last three tournaments,” she said Wednesday. “I think I really need to have back my confidence. I knew my swing wasn't really great in Asia. Then I just kept talking myself to like, ‘You're not ready, you're not ready,” instead of, ‘You're going to be ready soon, you're going to be ready soon.’" That’s a corner she’s turned.

What a stupid thing to say to put down something that's good for women's golf Despite schedule conflict, Whan hopes to keep same ANA date“I didn’t like the conflict with my event, but I said to a lot of players this week, that most revolutions are evolutions,” Whan said Wednesday. “In my mind, the Augusta National Women’s Amateur is an evolution, not a revolution.

I don’t get your interpretation of this as a put down. Actually, more of a positive to see women playing Augusta as golf evolving rather than a revolution. I’ve thought from the beginning that, as Whan says, this brings a lot of eyes to women’s golf this weekend. Hopefully, tv will mention and promote the pros following the amateur coverage. After the first year hoopla it could evolve into a weekend celebrating women’s golf.

I basically agree with the NY Times article. Especially:
And this:
Augusta National trying to portray themselves as progressive supporters of women' golf is laughable, and it annoys me how quickly the GIC has accepted it as gospel fact.
Whatever, I'm personally just ignoring the tournament and focusing on the ANA.

Inviting the LPGA major winners to play the Par 3 Masters exhibition alongside the men's wives and grandkids would be a horrendous insult. But it wouldn't surprise me if those Augusta fossils think that'll keep the women in their place.
