OH YEAH!!!! Great day today for Jin Young Ko, great week, great season. It's unreal: five top threes in six starts, two wins, her first Major, leading most of the big award categories. And now she gets to take the leap into Poppy's Pond. Incredible stuff. What was most amazing about today was, I felt like she had this in the bag all day. I just could tell she wasn't going to cough this one up. She was just playing too well. And even though there was the occasional slip up today - it wasn't her best effort of the week - she still did what she needed to do. I remember thinking when she kept staying in Korea all those seasons, what a waste! Why isn't she trying her luck on the LPGA? But I never thought she could be this good. It's a thrilling revelation, watching her emerge from her cocoon. Pity poor Inky. She probably wasn't going to win anyways. But she encountered a ball eating tree on a par 5, and that really finished her. This course is out to get her. But to be honest, I feel like she has not been super solid all year so far. It would have been quite a feat if she had somehow beaten Ko and her consistency. Mi Hyang was in rarefied air by her standards this week, kind of like Jennifer Song last year. Although she didn't win, she should be immensely proud of what she did do. And Lucky Six pretty much deep sixed all her rookie foes until Gillman shot an (ironic!) 66 to seemingly surpass her. Then she nailed an eagle on the last to tie her. Which conveniently placed her on the green when Jin Young came, so she could douse her with water. Nice final rounds by Hyo Joo, Jiyai Shin and So Yeon; especially sweet sort-of redemption for Ms. Ryu. Sung Hyun Park was in the weeds; a 78!! Good gravy! Inbee never got it going this week, kind of a surprise given her t2nd last week. Congrats again to JIN YOUNG KO! Enjoy your incredible victory, boy do you deserve it! Jin Young Celebrate! Trophy IK Kim Mi Hyang Lee Hyo Joo Kim Sung Hyun Lucky Six

HF flunked math!!!!
The correct answer:
MHL (2 wins) > J. Song (0 wins)
I wonder what a 2nd place finish here will do for her world ranking (currently #54)...her career-best is #30 in 2015.

After the biggest weekend in women's golf -- all shown on NBC -- wouldn't it make sense for Jin Young to appear alongside Jennifer Kupcho on the Today and Tonight shows?
If Lexi won I bet that would happen.

I wonder if it's a good thing or a bad thing, for Jin Young to be number one Ranked so soon. I think that she will handle it, so it's a wait and see.
By the way I guess that I should report on So Yeon eighteenth hole again. This time she drove it in the fairway, hit her second shot to the back of the green. Her pitch was good, but down hill out of the rough. The ball kept rolling until it stopped on the front fringe. She had to settled for par.
