The Cactus Tour has its advantages Yealimi Noh (Concord, California) is an IOA Championship sponsor exemption. She verbally committed to UCLA in August 2017 before changing course and turning professional in January 2019. The 17-year-old finished second in a Cactus Tour event in late February on this week’s host course and because the medalist was already a Symetra Tour member, Noh received the invitation to compete. I'd be very surprised if Yealimi doesn't finish in the top 10 this week.

A horrible finish for Yealimi, bogeyed 4 of the her 6 holes to go from -2 to +2.

Yealimi's venture into pro circuits has certainly been underwhelming. Hope she knows what she's doing.

Kelly Tan stunk it up today with a +5 on the round and +7 for the tournament. On the bright side, she's gained about 1,000 followers since her win two weeks ago...although a lot of that may be due to her reality show, which is currently airing throughout Asia. https://www.instagram.com/p/BoNlZPyFgPA

jumpcut Kelly's family must be Chinese descent with a little mixed Malay blood; a good looking family!

Leona Maguire is clubhouse leader at -7; round 2 still in progress.
Can't keep a player with good pedigree down forever!

You can put your belt and shoe laces back on...Dr. Noh (T-33, +2) made the cut with ease. Lucky for her that she's exempt from qualifying for the USWO. Maybe Hana Bank has some some juice to get her a regular gig on the KLPGA Dream Tour...does she speak Korean?
Typical Karen Chung (T-33, +2)...six birdies in Round Two and she could only manage a 73. The bizarre world of EJ Seong (70-79, T-58) continues.
Rooting for Leona Maguire to close this one out...I've seen her twice in person and she is pretty good. We know she was NOT better than Hye Jin Choi during her amateur days, but it wasn't her fault how the WAGR numbers were calculated.

Major gag job by Leona (77, T-4), although there were a lot of bad scores on Sunday...must have been really windy. Excellent 72 by Dr. Noh which got her a T-13. Jillian Hollis won with a closing 74...her IG:

Looks like Jillian is blowing off next week's Symetra event (she's not listed in the final field) so she can make it to the pairing party next Sunday at the Kore Pro-Am. I'm sure she's getting an appearance stipend worth more than she would probably earn at the tournament.
