Sexy Queen is back for this tournament. . .in her own words, "The season finally starts next week. It is cheap and I change it from practice bag to competition bag. I'm already trembling and looking forward to it. Do you feel like it? "

I didn't see Kotone Hori name on the final list. Maybe she decided to skip it and practice some more. Or she wasn't eligible for the tournament.

phil: thats definitely hikari fujita in your pic.. notice the pink bandage on her left wrist... it is in all her media pics since her surgery early in 2018. in your pic that looks like her sister (also a golfer, and model) and has been her caddie in the past. she also suffered a loss few years back when their father, who they both learned golf from passed. on the jlpga player list for this tournament for whatever reason her first name is spelled differently. a few years back she won the fujisankai tournament in a dramatic finish. i think this pic shows the same golf bag with her wrist in that pink support bandage, that injury was the reason for her poor play the last couple of years and she is in her recovery stage now. she must have recieved and excemption for this tournament. http://instagr.am/p/Bt7mpUklM7E

Thursday AM prep:
Sakura Koiwai and Ji Hee Lee (turned 40 last month)
Sharon
Nice to see Erika Kikuchi not wearing a dumb surgical mask this week...sooner or later, Mika Miyazato will win on this tour, but it's strange to say that the JLPGA is the start of her second golf career at age 29.
Kotono Kozuma, Shoko Sasaki and Shiho Oyama

I have no answers on this.

one of the above pics looks like the hana wakimoto motorcycle gang..would like to have one of those jackets... the first round wakimoto had 7 birdies with no bogies. the course they are playing is her home course that she has played since her school days so she knows how to play this course, expect her to do well the next rounds also... she had 27 putts the first round and stated that she knows the lines on all the greens. in this pic she is between eimi koga and kacie komoto, jlpga team hawaii usa ... http://instagr.am/p/Blxb-KIAD2M

The cut has crept up to -2 and Sharon is in trouble...currently sits at Even with the back nine holes remaining...at +1, BML will probably go down the drain with her.
I'm guessing this is Erika Hara's eagle-3 at the par-5 10th

yui kawamoto seems for real... she won 4 times last year on the step up tour, she is -11 after round two with no bogeys... there is a nice video on the jlpga website (the very last video posted) where she won over hana wakimoto who was the runnerup.
wakimoto is 5 back after round two, her knowledge of her home course may not be enough to overcome kawamoto.

The last few holes of Round Two are in the link above. Kotono Kozuma was moving like Fred Sanford (4:29 thru 4:37) and dropped out. The cut was -2 and 52 players made it...Sexy Queen and Smile Candy did not.
RANK PLAYER SCORE TODAY 1R 2R 3R TOTAL 1 Yui Kawamoto -13 -7 66 65 131 2T Reika Usui -9 -5 68 67 135 2T Hana Wakimoto -9 -2 65 70 135 4T Hee-Kyung Bae -8 -6 70 66 136 4T S Langkul -8 -3 67 69 136 6T Mi-Jeong Jeon -7 -5 70 67 137 6T Momoko Ueda -7 -4 69 68 137 8T Rei Matsuda -6 -4 70 68 138 8T Seonwoo Bae -6 -3 69 69 138 8T Teresa Lu -6 -2 68 70 138 8T Hikaru Yoshimoto -6 -2 68 70 138
Never heard of Reika Usui before...has done almost nothing as a pro until this week.
Hana Wakimoto
I assume Descente planned this fashion doubleheader...Mi Jeong Jeon and Hina Arakaki (-3)
Yui Kawamoto and SW Bae
Momoka Miura (-2) was a TV broadcast favorite...and they gave Kana Nagai (-3) a nice long view at the 1st tee
