Lately, it seems to me like we are getting more duplication of postings across threads, and sometimes we have threads that get quite long and contain all sorts of stuff in a catch-all topic. So I'm creating this topic to ask the group: do you find it easy to locate the stuff you are most interested in? Do you find it hard to know where to post, or what is appropriate where? Any suggestions for improvement? Nothing is permanent (whoa, deep!), but there's no harm in experimenting if people have ideas. I'll start. I find it sometimes very hard to post a new thing, because I'm sure somebody, somewhere, has already posted it. I've run into this several times in the past month. So I read the entire forum, every new post, until I'm sure no one has posted it, then I do my post. Usually the last thing I read is the post I was going to make. Does anyone else run into this? A few more topics to ponder: - are the photo threads getting too long? Should we break them up into smaller categories? - would people prefer the tournament threads have separate photo threads? IE, are there loading issues for some of you if a lot of pix are in a tournament thread? - How can we make it easier for people to find the topics they are most interested in? We used to have separate groups for each player, but that became really hard to manage. Any other suggestions? Would tagging help? Thanks!

HappyFan I'll make it easy for you. I'll resign from the forum. I've enjoyed my time here but obviously I don't fit in. I don't understand why more don't post so I guess I overcompensated for their lack of postings. My only agenda has been the promotion of Korean and Japanese women golfers, many good but not great who seldom get their due which was my focus. I appreciate all the good vibes I've gotten from a few of the members who actually post. Good luck to all. awhson

awhson Please don't leave; we need you here. Our biggest problem is we don't have enough posters; we're lucky to have you. This place would be a riot if both you and mr3putt are popping. We haven't had mr3putt for a while; this place would be a ghost town without you.

I don't think anyone has ever objected to that. But don't you think it's possible we can improve things? There's no need to take a desire to organize the forum better as a rebuke of your or anyone else's efforts. Anyways, if you want to quit, I can't stop you, but I hope you'll reconsider.

In order to make it easier for other posters to be able to not repost. Leaving seems to me that it's overacting a little. Besides where would I read about "Miss Oh". But it's up to you to make up your own mind. But I hope you stay, because I would miss you. Your posting are nothing like the vulgar and negative posts of 3putt. In my opinion he should never be back on this Forum.

Separate categories for pics would be nice. Tournament photos vs regular pics for instance.
I'd like to see more conspiracy theories and rants about the Industrial Complex.

Separate categories for pics would be nice. Tournament photos vs regular pics for instance. I'd like to see more conspiracy theories and rants about the Industrial Complex. I think the tournament photos should go into the tournament threads and most people have been doing that. But, I had an overlap issue just now with J. Song playing her practice round in Thailand with a PXG cap and bag. I couldn't find any official announcements about this change, so I put the pics in the endorsement category instead. I don't see the growing size of the photo threads as a problem...just look at the stuff that interests you and ignore the stuff that doesn't. There's a good (not great) search function within the threads if you can't remember what you posted before or if a newcomer joins the forum and wants to find items on a certain player. "Excessive" posts is a preferable problem compared to the opposite situation, like Rusty's Graveyard, aka mylpga.com.

philknjGood point! The danger of becoming another mylpga.com can't be overstated; it's why we need mr3putt.

philknj Good point! The danger of becoming another mylpga.com can't be overstated; it's why we need mr3putt . Well I guess if he comes back I can just put his post on ignore. So can all the lady golfers that he disrespect can do the same. No it wont be a mylpga.com more like a TMZ. Edit: My bad, TMZ don't go out of there way to insult people. So my statement was wrong comparing them to 3putt post.

Regular lurker, occasional poster here. I think the site is fine the way it is. I don't have a problem with long threads. I keep several categories and threads open in different browser tabs, and a simple refresh lets me pick up where I left off. I think having too many threads would actually lead to more duplicate posting, as it would be more difficult to keep track of the multiple threads. An occasion duplicate post doesn't bother me.
I like the current breakdown of tournament pics in the tournament threads, and off-course pics in the 19th hole monthly threads.
'Keep up the good work, gang.

Ok Awson the Forum members have spoken. You and Happyfan can get on the same page. Because he runs a great Forum and you have been a great addition. I am sure that two intelligent people like you two are, can come to an agreement.

Enjoy the Tournament threads -- especially the KLPGA. Read the threads often; will make an effort to post more. Would love to see more technical discussions. Seems like there's some deep knowledge of the women's game on this board.

I agree that the photo threads, while good fun, are getting cluttered. The beauty of a messageboard is that stuff can easily be organized by topic. Either via subforums, or just being more proactive about thread creation.
For my part, I still come here for the Seoul sisters, not the Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese and whoever else from the Sinosphere.
Which IMO begs the question, why is a site dedicated to Korean professional golfers now also becoming a clearing house for information about all golfers from east Asia? Because they sort of look similar, ethnically? Because I don't see anything related to South Asian (i.e. India, Pakistan) golfers.
