I was lucky enough to follow Jeong Eun Lee 6 for her entire round yesterday. I am a member at Grange and a fan of her play so decided to watch her the whole afternoon. She played really steady and could have easily been 3-4 shots lower if some putts had dropped. She only made one error hitting left into the trees on the par 5 fifth, had to take relief from a TV tower, then punched a brilliant iron out to the middle of the fairway with about 140 meters to go. From there she hit a great third about three meters left of the hole with the best angle for her putt. That putt did drop so that’s how she got that birdie. She had a great demeanor, never got flustered even when Carlotta Ciganda was taking an eternity to play her shots. I even met the mother of her new Australian caddy (used to caddy for Charley Hull) while I was walking around. Through her, she got him to get Lucky 6 to autograph my member’s pass so I was a happy Aussie fan. Depending on how I go getting stuff done at home, I might head out to see her round today. She is paired with Charley Hull so could be some tension between former caddy and Hull!

Thanks for your comments and welcome! I saw Lucky 6 briefly at the 2017 USWO and she looked really good. As for Charley, I looked her up at gettyimages.com ... I think she had at least four different guys on her bag last year.
*******
Anyone out there scratching their head regarding Meghan MacLaren at -2 thru round two? Who??!! Yeah, me too, but then I remembered that I watched her play at Valley Forge last year...however, she was a total non-entity to me; I made no notes on how she played. She trunk-slammed that week and made only three of nine Symetra cuts in 2018...and bombed out last week at 13th Beach. How did she get into the Aussie Open?! She's not on the LPGA priority list and is 148th on the Symetra priority list. But, I figured it out: she won the 2018 Women's NSW Open.
Her swing from earlier in the week:

Great comeback by Teresa Lu, 77-67....whoops, she just bogeyed #2 on Saturday.
The photo below is from the LPGA online leaderboard...I'm surprised they even posted a pic of her, since she hasn't played a full LPGA season since 2009. I looked it up and it's from the 2013 Mizuno, which she won.
I recall seeing her at the Upper Montclair CC range around 2008-09, but I didn't remember until I reviewed gettyimages that she was a Nickent staffer back then. They were best known for its hybrids and Joo Mi Kim won in Hawaii with a Nickent Pipe putter...but the rest of Nickent's gear didn't catch on and they went bankrupt in 2009.

Mi Hyang is going after two wins this week:
1. Winning Aussie Open - looks almost impossible from her current position 2. Beating Celine Boutier - definitely doable, which would give her an unofficial moral victory at the 2019 Vic Open.
Btw, MHL averaged 272 driving distance for Thu/Fri...which was better than Sagstrom, Nelly, Mirim, Minjee, The New Ko, Charley, Lucky 6 and the Yangster...I just thought you'd like to know.
Yu Liu averaged 275 for Thu/Fri...she is scary. I expect her to win somewhere this year, plus torpedo the SS Feng to the bottom of the Yellow Sea and become China's top dog. A series of top finishes early on could shoot Liu up the rankings similar to what Georgia Hall did (or Jon Rahm on the PGA Tour).
*************
Early Saturday AM on the range...obviously that's Porna in the black leggings...not sure about the player in the white top...I'm guessing Teresa Lu.

Haru Nomura on Friday (below)...might be a typo, but the LPGA online scorecard says she averaged 466 per drive during Round Two.

Jeong Eun had an outstanding day. . .She had a -5 round and total of -8. . . Thanks for the welcome to the forum - as the saying goes, long term reader, first time commenter. I decided to go watch the second half of her round this afternoon and got to the course in time to see her ready to tee off on the eighth. She was still even for the day but hit it to about three meters and dropped the putt, and it was like she got a rev of confidence because the rest of the round was awesome. Lee kept making testy ones for pars when she needed and she hit a beautiful pitch on 13 that just bit and nestled 18 inches behind the hole. Then holed a curling putt from the fringe on 16 with the pin in, and she was off, striding ahead of the much more aggressive body-language wise Hull. The cameras weren’t even covering this group until a lone cameraman scrambled out to catch her second into 17 and then was a scramble to set the tower camera up in time for the putts. Not that sure they got ready in time. Again, her composure was a treat to watch. Not sure which group she will be in tomorrow. I won’t go to watch as I have scored a round at Kooyonga Golf Club where Jin Young Ko won last year.

Round 3
All right! What a great moving day for the Koreans!
Hot 6 was on fire! Her best round yet, a 67 to put herself into the second to last group. Yes, she's still four back, but Korda is really due a weaker round, and if she struggles, Lee is in perfect position to respond. Go Lee! Do your best and good things can happen!
Jin Young had an unfortunate bogey on the last or she'd be tied with Jeong Eun. Still, solid day for her, too, a 69 to put her in a tie for 6th. And Mirim had another great round, including a hole out. She's tied for 9th.
Go get 'em, Sisters! HWAITING!
Jeong Eun Lee 6
Jin Young Ko
Mirim Lee
Haru Nomura in the hunt again
