just looked at the Lpga stats page for japan's 18yr old rookie Suzuka Yamaguchi and it only reflects the one tounament she has played, Vic open... her ave driving distance for the four rounds was 300 yds and her ave total putts was 28 (currently no.1)... she is in the field for the next two tournaments Aus Open and Thailand with i believe Deam Herdin on her bag. It will be fun to watch how her stats hold up... http://instagr.am/p/BtGPEnnFQZ2

Hot 6 has three things going for her. Memorable name, unique stance reading putts, and she shoots in the 60s.
She’s going to get the Hosung novelty pump in the Industrail Complex coverage, and hopefully she can build on that with playing late on Sunday.

Gotta say folks, I am really jonesing hard to see some Seoul sisters take control of a leaderboard. Enough nonsense. Time to get serious.

Also: The 6 Shtick is a fairly memorable thing overall, she has fun nicknames, she is decently long off the tee, and she plays with a lot of fire. And there's the fact she doesn't come from a well-to-do family and she has a ready-for-an-Olympics-broadcast-inspiring-backstory of helping her handicapped father. I think she has the potential to become a very popular player out here. Good luck Jeong Eun! Highlight reel of Lee from the OrangeLife Champions last year: https://www.instagram.com/p/Btx0xT3FK5c

Keep in mind that the conditions at the Vic were very firm, and they were getting a ton of rollout. The driving stats are going to be inflated.

Here's the entire press conference. A bit of news: she has a new caddie, Dave Brooker. I knew him back when he caddied for Grace Park, and would often talk with him and Grace during practice rounds. He's a good guy and a good caddie.
Too bad it didn't work out with her and her previous caddie; I always loved their story of meeting at the '15 British and playing well there. But perhaps he wasn't the most experienced caddie, so this might be a very good change for her.

Nice to see the Aussies speaking slowly and deliberately when interviewing Jin-Young. Contrast that with GC...when Lisa Cornwell interviews a Korean player, she spews her convoluted questions so fast, even I have a hard time understanding her.
The GC streams will start at 9pm ET each day. That's two hours earlier than the GC TV broadcasts for R2 & R3. It's also likely the streams will be commercial-free like last week.
