The pieces are starting to fall in place, so I think it's time to start a tournament thread. Most of the players will be picked off the 2018 Week 52 WAGR list...the current list was posted on Dec. 19 as Week 50. The next WAGR list will be posted Jan. 9, 2019.
The current top WAGR players from Team ROK are Jiweon Jeon (4), Yujeong Son (18), Seo-yun Kwon (39), Hae-ran Ryu (59), and Hyun Selin (70).
The Japan Golf Association was recently contacted by ANGC for four players:
Yuri Yoshida, Yuka Yasuda and Yuna Nishimura
Ayaka Furue

What'll Japan do if Yuka Yasuda wins! She would be the first Japanese to win at Augusta National.
Will Hideki Matsuyama be upstaged?
My hunch is a Japanese winner will have the most bang for the buck; more than Korea, USA or China.

The front runners have to be Jennifer Kupcho, Lucy Li and Atthaya Thitikul; but golf rarely is a front runner game.
This isn't the tournament I envisioned now that Kristen Gillman and Yealimi Noh have turned pro; may be Albane Valenzuela will put it all together.

May be I missed it; but it'd be great if tournament title comes with other goodies, not money.
Exemption into US Women's amateur would be a start; how about USWO, Women's British, Japan Women's Open and BMW Ladies Championship (Busan).

Yuka Yasuda has played many JLPGA tournaments in 2018 and consistently finished in the top 15, as an example she was T11 at the Suntory with a -11 total.
she is 17yrs and ranked 15 in WAGR.

Yes, she's good. She certainly can win; but every winner needs luck to be on her side. She's already highly adored in Japan; what will happen if she becomes the first Japanese to win at Augusta National? Jumbo Ozaki would be the first one to congratulate her.

Yuka Yaseda and Yuka Saso; the two Yuka's, although spellings are different in Japanese.
The older Yuka, Yaseda, just turned 18 plays for Japan and Saso, who's younger by 6 months has a Japanese father and Pinay mother, plays for the Philippines.
Yaseda has been better known but Saso stole the thunder recently by winning the 2018 Asian Games Individual Golf Medal in September.
Both are contenders to win the inaugural ANWA title.

It looks like the most coveted invitation in all of golf; the Masters

I wonder whether Yealimi Noh will stick around as an amateur until she wins the inaugural ANWA!
