A new silly season event...Japan vs. Thailand in a Ryder Cup co-ed match play format at Amata Spring CC between Bangkok and Pattaya City. Each team has five male pros, five female pros, one male amateur and one female amateur. The Thai women sent its 'A' team with Ariya, Moriya, Thidapa, Porna, Pannarat and Thitikul (am). Japan includes Nasa, Koiwai, Erika Hara and Satoshi Kodaira. Thailand leads 5-3 after Friday's matches.

Erika Hara won two Friday matches in a rout.

This would be a great tournament without men. I don't follow men from either Japan or Thailand much.

Erika Hara won again in a walk during Saturday AM's matches...otherwise, Japan got stomped again and trail 8-4 going into the PM matches.

Articles in English on this event here:
The Saturday PM matches were split, so Thailand leads 10-6 going into singles on Sunday. Nasa is 0 for 3. Kiradech Aphibarnrat was dismayed by seeing more Japanese fans than Thai fans on Friday.
For whatever reasons, Hara (3-0) sat out the Saturday PM matches.

philknjIt isn't a Ryder Cup intensity yet; otherwise Erika Hara would be treasured like Tommy Fleetwood or Francesco Molinari. Players are different; Nasa's season's over when she dropped her last putt at CME Group Tour Championship.

Japan closed the gap during the Sunday singles, but it wasn't enough. In the next-to-last match, Aphibarnrat won the 18th hole which knocked off Kodaira and clinched the cup for Thailand...Nasa never trailed against Ariya in the final match, but it didn't matter as the Thais won 15-13.
Hara (right) dumped Pannarat 1-up to go 4-0, while Nasa finished 1-3.
The winning par putt at #18 if IG ever works again:

Including both men and women; USA is probably the top, followed by Korea and England.
